On the morning of December 24, 2023, the kick-off activity of the Guangdong Soong Ching Ling Maternal and Child Health ** "No Trapped" Charity Relief Project - "Love No 'Trapped' Charity Run" jointly sponsored by the Guangdong Soong Ching Ling ** Association and Guangdong Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital, and co-organized by the Guangdong Precision Medicine Application Society, started on Guangzhou International Biological Island. Leaders from the Maternal and Child Department of the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission, the Guangdong Provincial Soong Ching Ling Association, the Guangdong Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital, the Guangdong Provincial Society for the Application of Precision Medicine, Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, and the Guangzhou International Biological Island Management Committee attended the launching ceremony.

The event will be converted into public welfare donations according to the running mileage of each athlete, which will be used for the "No Trapped Angels" charity relief project of Song Qingling Maternal and Child Health in Guangdong Province. It is hoped that through jogging, sports and health will be perfectly combined with charity and public welfare, mobilize the whole society to pay attention to and support the public welfare and charity of women and children, gather love to relieve the difficulties of families with birth defects, provide the most timely diagnosis, help them take intervention measures as soon as possible, and reduce the burden caused by the birth of defective children.

It is reported that the Guangdong Province Soong Ching Ling Maternal and Child Health ** "No Trap Angel" charity relief project was jointly initiated by the Guangdong Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital and the Guangdong Provincial Precision Medicine Application Society and other units, and was approved by the Guangdong Soong Ching Ling ** Association. This is not only a sub-project of Soong Ching Ling Maternal and Child Health in Guangdong Province, but also the third sub-project of charitable medical assistance after "Bright Little Angel" and "Guardian Angel".

As the main cause of early miscarriage, stillbirth, infant death and congenital disability, birth defects are still in a severe situation in China. Monitoring data shows that an average of one child with defects is born every 30 seconds in China, and the number of new birth defects is about 800,000 every year, and Guangdong is a high-incidence area. The state has always attached great importance to the comprehensive prevention and treatment of birth defects, and the "Healthy China 2030" Planning Outline and the "Decision of the Communist Party of China on Optimizing the Birth Policy to Promote the Long-term Balanced Development of the Population" have successively made important instructions on strengthening the comprehensive prevention and treatment of birth defects. Although the Provincial Party Committee of Guangdong Province and the Provincial Party Committee have set up a comprehensive prevention and control project for birth defects to give special subsidies to pregnant women with abnormal fetal structure, due to the limited number and amount of subsidies, they cannot fully cover the needs of clinical testing, and some pregnant women from difficult families have to give up further testing, so as to miss the best opportunity for diagnosis and intervention, which will bring greater economic and mental burden to families and society.

The establishment of the "Angel Without Trapping" project will further reduce the medical burden, better meet the needs of pregnant women in difficult families for genetic testing and eugenics, and improve the public's sense of happiness and gain. At present, the project has officially opened a donation channel to raise public welfare funds from all walks of life, and to jointly contribute to the cause of birth defect intervention and relief.
