On December 16, 2023, the "2023 Clinical Application Practice Tour of the Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Guidelines of the Journal of the Chinese Medical Association (Chengdu Station)" sponsored by the Chinese Medical Journal Co., Ltd. and the Editorial Committee of the Chinese Journal of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery was successfully held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The conference adhered to the purpose of standardizing the diagnosis and development of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery diseases in China, and invited President Huang Zhigang, chairman of the 13th Committee of the Chinese Medical Association-Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Branch of Beijing Tongren Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University, Professor Zhao Yu, Chairman of the West China Hospital of Sichuan University and Sichuan Provincial Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Professional Committee, Professor Yang Hui of West China Hospital of Sichuan University and many other experts and scholars to attend and participate in the "Expert Consensus on Throat Endoscopy (2021)" and other consensuses are interpreted in detail and typical cases are in-depth to help improve the diagnosis and treatment level of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery in China.

In recent years, the diagnosis and treatment ability of otolaryngology-head and neck surgeons in China has been continuously improved, but there are still problems in the clinical application of laryngeal endoscopy, such as non-standard operation, incomplete observation, and inaccurate diagnostic evaluation. The formulation of the Expert Consensus on Laryngeal Endoscopy (2021) (hereinafter referred to as the "Consensus") aims to standardize the technology of laryngeal endoscopy in China, grasp the key points of examination and disease characteristics of key parts, avoid missed diagnosis and misdiagnosis, and provide help for the diagnosis and development of throat diseases.

Professor Xu Wen of Beijing Tongren Hospital affiliated to Capital Medical University interpreted the "Consensus" at this meeting. Professor Xu Wen focused on the preoperative preparation, techniques and observation points, special site examination and ** collection of laryngeal endoscopy, and made a detailed analysis of the important matters and operation specifications. Among the key points of laryngeal endoscopy observation and common disease characteristics, the "Consensus" mentions the NBI technology (narrow-band imaging technology) applied to the diagnosis of early cancer, which can enhance the contrast and clarity of imaging by strengthening the superficial microvascular and microsurface structure of the mucosa in endoscopy, thereby helping medical personnel improve the ability to detect small and superficial early cancers and precancerous lesions and judge the extent of lesions. In addition, with the development of endoscopic systems such as 3D and 4K, the visibility of laryngeal endoscopy is constantly improving, which helps medical personnel to detect precancerous lesions and improve the detection rate of early cancer.

In order to further improve doctors' mastery of endoscopy of throat tumors and better provide diagnosis and treatment services for patients, Professor Ni Xiaoguang from the Cancer Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences gave a special lecture on "Endoscopy and Diagnosis of Throat Tumors". He said that the electronic nasopharyngoscope is a powerful assistant for otolaryngologists, and it is also an important tool to achieve accurate diagnosis and treatment of nasopharyngeal early cancer.

Both the ENF-VH2 and ENF-V4 feature a unique cutting-edge design that improves illumination and provides good brightness performance at the edges of the frame. With the prefreeze feature, doctors can automatically pick the sharpest one from a continuously captured still image. In terms of operation, both products adopt a new ergonomic "gun handle" design, and have a control knob and remote control button that can operate the angle with one hand, which effectively reduces the operating pressure of the surgeon and realizes accurate, fast and safe laryngeal endoscopic surgery.
