On December 15, 2023, the China Environmental Monitoring General Station, together with the ** Meteorological Observatory, the National Joint Center for Air Pollution Prevention and Control, the Northeast, South China, Southwest, Northwest, and Yangtze River Delta Regional Air Quality Forecasting Centers, and the Beijing Ecological Environment Monitoring Center, carried out a national air quality forecast consultation in the second half of December (16-31).
In the second half of December, the air quality in most parts of the country was mainly good to mildly polluted, and the air quality in Northeast China and South China was mainly excellent. Among them, moderate or above pollution may occur in the central and southern parts of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, individual cities in the southwest of Heilongjiang, the central and northern parts of the Yangtze River Delta region, individual cities in the Chengdu Plain and southern Sichuan, and cities on the northern slope of the Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang.
Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and surrounding areas:In the second half of December, the air quality in the northern part of the region was mainly excellent, and the air quality in the central and southern parts of the region was mainly good to mildly polluted. Among them, around the 25th, short-term severe pollution may occur in the central and southern parts of the region;From the 30th to the 31st, the diffusion conditions were unfavorable, the northern part of the region was excellent, and the central and southern parts were dominated by light to moderate pollution, and short-term severe pollution may occur locally. Beijing:In the second half of December, the overall diffusion conditions were average, and two mild pollution processes may occur, while the air quality in other periods was mainly excellent. Among them, on the 16th, the diffusion conditions were favorable and the air quality was excellent;From the 17th to the 18th, the diffusion conditions were unfavorable, and the air quality was mainly good to slightly pollutedFrom the 19th to the 23rd, the diffusion conditions improved, and the air quality was mainly excellentFrom the 24th to the 25th, the diffusion conditions were unfavorable, and the air quality was mainly lightly pollutedFrom the 26th to the 28th, the air quality was mainly good;From the 29th to the 31st, the diffusion conditions deteriorated, and light pollution may occur. Yangtze River Delta Region:In the second half of December, the air quality in most parts of the region was mainly good to mildly polluted, and short-term moderate and above pollution may occur locally. Among them, on the 16th, under the influence of cold air, there was a precipitation process, and the overall was excellent;From the 17th to the 18th, the whole was mainly good, and the northern part was slightly pollutedFrom the 19th to the 20th, the whole area was mainly benign to slightly pollutedFrom the 21st to the 23rd, the whole area was mainly good, and the northern inland was slightly pollutedFrom the 24th to the 27th, under the influence of weak air pressure field, the northern part of the region was dominated by good to light pollution, and moderate pollution may occur locallyFrom the 28th to the 31st, the central and northern parts of the region were mainly benign to lightly polluted, and short-term moderate and above pollution may occur. Suzhou, Anhui, Shandong, and Henan junction:In the second half of December, the air quality in most parts of the region was mainly good to light pollution, and moderate or above pollution may occur locally. Among them, on the 16th, under the influence of cold air, the region as a whole is mainly good, and light pollution may occur in Henan and AnhuiFrom the 17th to the 22nd, the overall pollution was good to light, and moderate pollution may occur locally on the 19thFrom the 23rd to the 27th, the whole area was mainly lightly polluted, and the local area could reach moderate pollutionFrom the 28th to the 31st, the whole area was mainly lightly polluted, and moderate or above pollution may occur locally. Fenwei Plain:In the second half of December, the air quality in most parts of the region was mainly good to mildly polluted, and moderate pollution may occur in some parts of the region. Among them, on the 17th-18th, 21st-23rd, and 30th-31st, there may be light pollution in the central and southern parts of the region, and moderate pollution may occur in some areas. The primary pollutant is PM25 or PM10.
Northeast Region:In the second half of December, the air quality in most parts of the region was mainly excellent. Among them, on the 18th, 24th-25th, and 28th-30th, the diffusion conditions deteriorated, and the central and western parts of Jilin, the central and western parts of Liaoning and the eastern part of Inner Mongolia were mainly moderately polluted, and moderate pollution may occur in the southwest of Heilongjiang, and the primary pollutant was PM25 or PM10.
South China:In the second half of December, the regional air quality was generally excellent.
