Jiuquan, December 4 (Ma Shuaisha, Zhao Hanqing) On December 4, the Egypt-2 satellite was successfully launched. Egypt-2 satellite is not only a landmark project of "extensive consultation, joint contribution and sharing" of in-depth aerospace high-tech cooperation between China and Egypt, but also the first international aerospace cooperation project in China to transport the first and regular samples of whole-star products overseas, use overseas facilities to carry out whole-star satellites, integration, testing and environmental tests, and deliver the first samples of satellites abroad.

During the three-month overseas implementation process, the Chinese and Egyptian developers overcame differences in language, environment and culture, and worked together to lay the foundation for the successful completion of the Egypt-2 mission, and also left many beautiful moments worth remembering.

In this cooperation, China not only assisted in the construction of an Egyptian Satellite Integration Test Center (AIT Center), but also carried out the joint development of the Egypt-2 satellite on this basis, and organized and completed a three-month joint research and development of a full-star overseas satellite, testing, and environmental testing.

The joint research and development provides an opportunity for Egypt to learn Xi from zero distance. In order to better participate in the development of satellites, and to deeply learn Xi knowledge, experience and practical ability of satellite research and development, manufacturing, testing, testing and other links, Egypt has set up a satellite development team in accordance with the Chinese position.

Because of this, in the Egyptian AIT Center, you can always see Chinese designers following Egyptian designers, operating and communicating at the same time, and completing their tasks together. At the same time, the Chinese side also organized a large number of training work in between work, and designers from various positions took turns to help Egyptian designers build a systematic aerospace knowledge system.

Egypt-2 is the first time that China has carried out the development of a full-star AIT outside China. In order to carry out the work more smoothly and better promote the integration of the work of designers from China and Egypt, after many times, the two sides decided to use China's aerospace standards to carry out their work with a unified mode of thinking, unified data indicators and unified management requirements.

In fact, "using China's space standards" was not Egypt's initial choice. When the contract for the development of the Egypt-2 satellite was signed, China and Egypt discussed which space standard should be used in the development of the satellite. Most of Egypt's designers have studied in Europe and the United States, and they are more exposed to Western aerospace standards. During the contract discussion, the Chinese designers showed the Egyptian side the relevant content and specification requirements of Chinese standards, and also demonstrated a series of achievements in the rapid development of China's aerospace industry. In the end, the two sides unified the standards of joint development through exchanges and exchanges.

While working hand in hand, the designers of the two sides continue to run in the way of work, and the Egyptian designers have gradually understood, mastered and implemented China's aerospace standards. This not only lays a good foundation for Egypt's subsequent independent development of the aerospace system, but also plays a good role in promoting the export of domestic aerospace products in the future.

Professor Armand Rafay, who is in his 70s this year and is the chief designer of the Egyptian-2 satellite, said in an interview with **: "Our biggest dream is to develop our own satellite from beginning to end and achieve independence." "Now, China is helping.

From demand demonstration to personnel allocation, from technology output to personnel training, from joint research and development to TT&C implementation, Egypt-2 satellite not only provides Egypt with an advanced satellite that can widely serve its national economy and people's livelihood, but also makes Egypt the first country in Africa to have satellite development and testing capabilities, and take the lead in realizing satellite development and localization.

In the process of getting along day and night, the designers of both sides also formed a friendship and learned each other's language and culture Xi each other. "Lu San" has become the title of the Egyptian designer when greeting the Chinese test conductor, because the station code of the Chinese test conductor is "163", and "Habibie (dear friend)" and "Xiao Kelance (thank you)" have also become the favorite words of the Chinese designer.

Although the Egypt-2 satellite test team went abroad to fulfill the contract, although the time was only three months, it was the first time that China carried out the whole process of satellite joint work abroad, and it was also the first time that China and Egypt conducted joint training for Egyptian space experts and talents, and it also became a vivid portrayal of China's space openness, integration and win-win cooperation.
