Gaza, an ancient and famous coastal city, is located in the southwest corner of the State of Palestine, facing the Mediterranean Sea, with an area of about 365 square kilometers, but with a population of more than 2 million, it is the largest city in Palestine. This oriental-style city has a long history, a splendid culture, and was once prosperous and lively, but frequent wars have made it a city in the smoke of gunpowder, and people are full of worries about its fate.

Historically, Gaza's urban origins can be traced back to the 15th century BC, when it was strategically occupied by ancient Jews, Assyrians, Egyptians and Persians. In 635 AD, Gaza was conquered by the Arabs and became an important center of Islam. In 1917, Gaza became part of British Palestine under British occupation. In 1947, the United Nations adopted the partition plan for Palestine, and Gaza was assigned to the proposed Arab state. In 1948, Gaza was occupied by Egypt. Gaza was occupied by Israel twice, in 1956 and 1967, and has been under Israeli military control ever since.

Gaza has a unique Mediterranean climate with warm winters and cool summers with little precipitation. Stretching for kilometers along the Mediterranean Sea, the waterfront is a famous attraction in Gaza. There is a soft sandy beach, and there is an endless stream of tourists who want to swim in the sea. In the evening, the sunset slowly sets on the sparkling sea, which has a soft artistic conception. There are many open-air restaurants on the beach, **local seafood, grilled fish, barbecue meat and other delicious dishes.

In the hinterland, old buildings are lined with islamic arches, plaster walls, and atrium gardens. The streets are crisscrossed with vendors selling traditional delicacies such as Mansaf and Himita. The mosque is solemn and full of people during prayer hours. An oriental style of market life is displayed in front of people's eyes.

However, this historic city has been ravaged by war. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict that began in the mid-20th century led to it becoming a city in the smoke of gunfire. The high-rise buildings collapsed in an instant during the bombing, and the bloodstained scenes were heartbreaking. Civilians have experienced unimaginable suffering, lost their homes, lacked food and have a vague future. Infrastructure is badly damaged and medical and rescue capacity is inadequate.

We do not know when we will end the suffering in Gaza and allow it to see the light of day. But we firmly believe that history will eventually turn over this dark chapter and justice will come. Let us keep hope alive and fight for it. When the fighting ceases and peace comes, this war-torn city will be reborn and revitalized. When Gaza's children can play on the beaches again, people can smile again, and we will finally usher in the dawn of civilization.

Gaza deserves a better tomorrow. This is not only the dream of the Palestinians, but should also be the aspiration of all mankind. Let's work together to bring new hope to this ancient city. By opening the doors to peace through understanding and tolerance, and by lighting the way forward through development and creation, we will eventually witness miracles happen. On that day, we will celebrate the triumph of civilization together.
