Protecting the ecological environment of the Yangtze River Basin is a prerequisite for promoting the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. As the cities along the Yangtze River continue to promote ecological and environmental protection, now, the water is clear and the banks are green, the birds are flying and the fish are leaping, and the green water of the Yangtze River is also feeding the vigorous development of cities along the Yangtze River. Recently, the first phase of the Chihu Public Wharf in Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province was put into use
Reporter Yan Junqi: My current location is the Chihu Public Wharf in Jiujiang Port City, Jiangxi Province, and you can see that behind me, huge ships come and go, and bridges are lifting and falling, which is a unique scenery of the Yangtze River shoreline and a true portrayal of the prosperity and development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. In the past, this area was a relatively concentrated place for bulk cargo terminals, and dust and noise pollution were often complained about, but now the old and new wharves are demolished and newly built, and the fully enclosed capsule dome is innovatively adopted, which solves the problem of dust and noise pollution in the traditional bulk cargo terminals. In order to protect the clear water of the Yangtze River, Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province, will fully implement the free reception of pollutants from ships calling at the port in 2021, and fully promote the treatment mode of "on-board storage and on-shore reception" of ship water pollutants in Jiujiang Port, so as to eliminate the hidden danger of direct discharge of domestic sewage from ships from the source. Today, 100% of the pollutants from ships in Jiujiang Port have been received and disposed of ashore.
You see, there will be a small boat next to many large cargo ships on the river, this small boat is a pollutant centralized receiving ship, which is equivalent to the "garbage station" on the Yangtze River, after connecting the pipelines of the two ships, the domestic sewage on board can be ** into the receiving device. You see, the cup of clear water in my hand is the sewage after centralized treatment, which has reached the standard of Class A and will also be directly discharged back into the Yangtze River.
The water is clear, and the shoreline of the Yangtze River is constantly refreshing its "appearance". In 2016, under the requirements of the Yangtze River Economic Belt, the local government began to re-plan and remediate the resources along the Yangtze River. Through a series of demolition and integration, the number of wharves in the Ruichang section of the Yangtze River has been integrated from the original 52 to the current 16, saving 3,072 meters of shoreline, and the vacated shoreline has been built into the riverside park we see in our lens now.
In fact, whether the ecological environment is good or not, biological testing is the most intuitive. This is the mandarin fish, which is known as the mysterious species of the Yangtze River basin. In the past, due to water pollution, overfishing, and other factors, the number of people dropped sharply. But in April this year, 22 mandarin fish were found at one time in the four major fish seed farms of the Yangtze River in Ruichang. This also shows that under the background of "joint efforts to protect and not engage in large-scale development", the ecological environment and water quality conditions of the Yangtze River system have gradually improved. With the 10-year ban on fishing in the Yangtze River, threatened fish stocks have begun to gradually recover, and the Yangtze finless porpoise has frequently appeared, achieving remarkable results in biodiversity conservation.
