OpenAI recently announced that it has postponed the launch of its ** platform called "GPT Store". The platform was originally planned to be launched this month to allow customers to design and deploy their own custom GPT versions and train on them with custom datasets for professional tasks.
OpenAI emphasizes privacy and security controls in GPT, allowing users to opt out of sharing their data with third-party APIs, while guaranteeing that users' chats are not shared with GPT builders. For those who choose to use third-party APIs, they can also choose whether or not to share their data.
The decision to postpone comes amid a series of changes taking place within OpenAI, while former CEO Sam Altman recently returned as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). At the same time, Microsoft announced that it will get a non-voting observer seat on the nonprofit board that controls OpenAI.
In a memo to employees, Altman said, "I'm more excited about the future than ever. I am so grateful for the hard work everyone has done during uncertain and unprecedented circumstances, and I believe our resilience and spirit are what set us apart in the industry. I am very, very satisfied with the possibility of our successful mission. ”
