In the mobile phone chip industry, Qualcomm and MediaTek are the two giants we are most familiar with, and HiSilicon has been brilliant in the past with the hot sales of Huawei mobile phones and a large number of Kirin chips. Recently, Counterpoint released the mobile phone chip revenue survey data for the third quarter of 2023, and HiSilicon has returned to the top five.
2023Q3 mobile phone chip revenue share.
According to the survey data, Qualcomm has the highest revenue share in the mobile phone chip industry, accounting for 40% of the share, while MediaTek, which we have the impression of being able to wrestle with Qualcomm, only occupies 15% of the revenue share, with a difference of 25%. Presumably many people are surprised to see this data, you must know that MediaTek chip shipments in this quarter are ahead of Qualcomm's 5% market share, and it can only be said that Qualcomm has done well enough in the high-end flagship market to obtain more profits.
However, MediaTek has been slowly improving in the high-end market in the past two years, and the recent vivo X100 series flagships all use MediaTek Dimensity 9300 processors, and the next vivo X7 series will also use Dimensity 9300.

In second place is Apple, which occupies 31% of the market share with its own iPhone shipments alone, and its performance is also exceptionally good. Samsung Exynos ranks fourth with a 7% market share, which is a big gap from the top few places.
The most surprising thing on the list is HiSilicon, with the hot sales of the Huawei Mate 60 series, the Kirin 9000s ushered in a highlight moment, helping HiSilicon win a 3% share in the third quarter.
It is worth mentioning that Huawei has also recently released the Huawei nova 12 series of mobile phones, using Kirin 8000 and Kirin 9000SL processors.
In addition, the list also shows that another domestic chip manufacturer, UNISOC, has a market share of 13%, but its revenue currently accounts for 2%.
