Gu Jiatang's old house is located in a single-family old bungalow at No. 38 Fumin Road. The wooden door is low-key and hidden, but there is a hole inside: a black marble pond with flowing water, which makes people's minds clear and quiet. The Buddha statue at the end of the pond directs the gaze of visitors to a small two-storey bungalow behind it.
The goose-yellow brushed facades, like the Spanish style, are faintly blown by the Mediterranean sea breeze. The brown wooden shutters reveal the unique atmosphere of Southeast Asia. Step inwards and you'll find the restaurant's porch. The walls of the porch are painted ochre red, and the strong smell of Thailand is blowing in the face.
The two wooden doors are carved with exquisite Thai auspicious patterns, showing a sense of luxury. The dark dining room has a winding layout that adds a sense of privacy. The small and exquisite courtyard, the simple Thai decoration and the elegant aromatherapy complement each other, making people escape from the hustle and bustle of the city in an instant.
To the south of the bungalow, there is an exquisite garden. The green grass on one side carries the lush shade of the trees, and the wind blows and a few residual leaves fall, which makes the place even more quiet. Whether you are walking on the wooden corridor connecting the western-style buildings or the mud brick floor in the garden, this tranquility and nature can make people feel comfortable.
Today, the place is a well-decorated restaurant.
