A fortress!Liverpool are on track to break the 84-year-old record at Anfield

The Reds have won all 10 home games at Anfield this season so far, and they have also advanced strongly in the Carabao Cup and Europa League and are third in the Premier League table.

While we may have taken a home win for granted, the last team to be as strong at home as Liverpool was back in the distant 1938-39 season

According to OPTA, Jurgen Klopp's side are only the second team in the history of the English top flight to win 10 in a row by two or more goals at home. The only team to do so before was Wolves, who won 12 consecutive home games in all competitions between December 1938 and April 1939, all of which were 2+ goal gains.

However, Liverpool's record is not over yet and they are likely to beat Fulham with a convincing win this weekend and continue to close Wolves' record.

In the 2023 24 season, Liverpool scored a total of 31 goals at Anfield and conceded just four. Their last failed win at Anfield was back in May, when Roberto Firmino was one of four players to wave goodbye to Liverpool fans after the Reds' 1-1 draw with Aston Villa.

Jurgen Klopp's side are turning their home ground into an airtight fortress once again, which will play a vital role in Liverpool's battle for the trophy on four fronts between now and next May.

The Reds still have some way to go to replicate their home dominance in 2019/20, when they won 18 and drew one of their 19 Premier League games at Anfield.
