The 8th International BIM Awards Presentation Ceremony Construction Technology Summit Forum was held

Focusing on modern engineering consulting, smart building technology cooperation, encouraging excellent projects and organizations to innovate and develop, technology changes buildings, and builds a better future, the award ceremony of the International BIM Competition was successfully completed, and we will work together towards a smart city.

On 1 December 2023, in order to encourage the construction industry to better use BIM technology, so that BIM technology and organizations using BIM can continue to innovate and develop in the industry, the Hong Kong Institute of Architecture and Construction held the 8th International BIM Awards Presentation Ceremony Construction Technology Summit Forum at the Millennium New World Hong Kong Hotel in Hong Kong under the theme of "Technology for the Future".

The award ceremony aims to recognize enterprises and project teams that have achieved outstanding achievements in the field of BIM, and to promote the application and innovation of BIM technology. In addition, the forum will focus on introducing the latest construction technology achievements, ** the innovative direction and possibilities of construction technology, and sharing the application of construction technology in practical projects. At the ceremony, a number of awardees were highly recognized for their outstanding research, applications and innovations in the field of BIM. Their work has advanced the evolution of BIM technology and opened up new avenues for the development of the construction industry.

Through their efforts, construction projects can be designed and constructed more accurately and efficiently, while improving the level of quality control and management, ensuring the safety and sustainability of construction projects, and enabling more intelligent, environmentally friendly and comfortable built environments.

Introduction to the Hong Kong Society of Modeling.

Founded in 2013, the Hong Kong Institute of Modeling and Construction initially focused on promoting BIM technology in the construction industry in Hong Kong. With the rapid development of science and technology and the further improvement of public policies, the Hong Kong Institute of Modeling will keep pace with the times. In addition to expanding research on BIM technology, we will actively apply and integrate other new technologies to help Hong Kong build into a smart city and become an integrated financial and business hub in the Greater Bay Area, so that Hong Kong will continue to be a leading R&D hub in Asia.

Introduction to the International BIM Grand Prix.

The International BIM Awards is an annual award that recognises the achievements of the BIM industry, recognizing companies and project teams around the world that have contributed or achieved achievements in the fields of BIM implementation, application, research and education, and encouraging their spirit of continuous development as role models in the industry.

Since its inaugural event in 2015, it has been successfully held for seven times, and the launching ceremony of the 8th International BIM Grand Prix was held on July 31, 2023. In the past seven editions of the Grand Prix, BSHK has received more than 3,000 applications from China, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Norway and other countries around the world, and has awarded the award to more than 400 various organizations, including the Hong Kong Housing Authority, the Hong Kong Architectural Services Department, the Hong Kong Water Supplies Department, CLP Power Hong Kong, the Ministry of Health, Dalian Wanda, Hong Kong Henderson, the United States Baofu Construction, China Construction First Bureau, China Construction Third Bureau, China Construction Eighth Bureau, Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Jilin Jianzhu University and other enterprises.
