Jiamu and Yimu are the two heavenly stems in the traditional Chinese Five Elements Doctrine, and various books have always been different, however, after reading through the books, it is still the most appropriate to discuss in the "Cultivation Inch Collection" (Ziping Zhenquan), which has three theories.
First, there is a difference between yin and yang.
Cultivating the Inch Collection (Ziping Zhenquan) believes that "between heaven and earth, there is one breath." The so-called "qi", in modern language, is energy. Where there is energy, there is movement and stillness, with movement as yang and stillness as yin, so one qi is divided into yin and yang. Where there is yin and yang, there are old and young, and there are old and young, and there are four elephants. When it is always extremely dynamic and quiet, it is called the sun and the yin;Less is the time when the initial movement is quiet, called less yin and less yang. With these four images, the five elements are in them. Water is the yin, fire is the sun, wood is less yang, gold is less yin, earth is yin and yang, old and young, wood, fire, gold and water are knotted. There are these five elements, and among the five elements, each has yin and yang. That is, in terms of wood, A and B are the yin and yang of wood, A is yang wood, and B is yin wood.
Second, the temperament is different.
Cultivating the Inch Collection" (Ziping Zhenquan) believes that "the first person, the yang wood is also, and the wood is angry;."B, Yin wood, the shape of wood also. The so-called "life" is energy, and the so-called "form" is matter. Energy can be converted into matter, and there is energy in matter. From the perspective of qi and quality, A is the gas of B, and B is the quality of A. In the heavens it is angry, and it is popular in all woods, it is for the first; The earth is ten thousand trees, and the one who is angry with Chengzi is B. and subdivided, the dispersant of anger, the armor of a;And the one who condenses the anger, A is B. The reason why ten thousand trees have branches and leaves, the first of B;And the branches and leaves of ten thousand trees, B of B. Fang Qi is A, and B is ready;and it is B, and the quality of A is firm. There is A and B, and the Yin of the wood is prepared.
Third, there is a difference between life and death.
The Cultivation Inch Collection (Ziping Zhenquan) believes that "the dry movement is endless, the branches are quiet and constant, and each stem is popular in the month of the twelve branches, and the Shengwang tomb is absolutely unrelated." "A and B are popular in the month of the twelve branches, and there is a change in the life and prosperity of the tomb, but A and B are not born and die, but different. A is the main gathering of yang, and the main is to advance, so the main is in the antegrade;B is the yin main scatter, and retreat is the advance, so the main is retrograde. As a result, there is a difference between yang and yin in terms of longevity and bathing in A and B. "The luck of the four seasons, the successful ones go, and the waiting ones enter. "Therefore, Jia, B, and Ergan are popular in the month of the twelve branches, and there are certain births, prosperity, tombs, and absolutes. What is born of the first stem is the second stem.
The deaths are exchanged with each other, and the fortune of nature. Specifically, A is the yang of wood, the birth of heaven.
Qi is prevalent in Wanmu, so he was born in Hai and died in noon;B is the yin of the wood, the branches and leaves of the wood.
He who is angry with heaven is therefore born at noon and dies at hai. In terms of gas, when the wood is in the moon, the branches and leaves are peeling off, but the first is the vitality of the wood, although the outer part is peeling off and the inner life has been collected and full, it can be a chance to vent in the coming spring, so A was born in Hai;When the wood is in the middle of the moon, the branches and leaves are flourishing, but although the outside is prosperous, the anger on the inside has been exhausted, so A died at noon. In terms of quality, Yimu is the opposite, and the branches and leaves of the noon moon are prosperous, that is, it is born; When the branches and leaves of the moon peel off, it is death. From the temperament theory, there is a difference between life and death.
Generally speaking, although Jiamu and Yimu are both wood, there are still differences between yin and yang, temperament, life and death, which cannot be generalized and must be carefully analyzed.
