As the first film to put the history of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army's southern Sichuan guerrilla column on the big screen, "The Lonely Army" provides a vivid red teaching material for party history education.
On February 10, 1935, under the personal deployment of the Communist Party of China, the South Sichuan Special Committee of the Communist Party of China and the South Sichuan Guerrilla Column of the Red Army were formally established in Tashi, Yunnan, with a total of more than 600 people, and then moved to Xingwen and other places. From July to December 1935, the continuous transfer of battles led to serious attrition of the column, and Xu Ce, Yu Zehong, Liu Ganchen and others died heroically. During the bloody struggle in Sichuan, Yunnan, and Guizhou for nearly two years, the column completed the task of "containing the enemy and covering the Red Army's Long March", which reduced the military pressure for the Red Army to cross the Chishui River four times and smoothly move north.
The Long March of the Second and Sixth Army Corps created favorable conditions.
There are many clips in the film that depict Xu Ce, secretary of the South Sichuan Special Committee and political commissar of the South Sichuan Guerrilla Column, with a glorious image and a great spirit.
Xu Ce is a well-known martyr known to women and children in Daye, Hubei Province, born in Xuwan, Baliu Village, Dajipu Town, Daye City, is a famous leader of the early revolutionary movement in southeastern Hubei Province, and a famous general of the Red Army during the Long March. His ups and downs, short and brilliant life, was the epitome of the thousands of revolutionary martyrs who struggled in that era, and countless revolutionaries exchanged their blood and lives for the birth of the People's Republic of China.
The "Red Star Daily" of that year reported that the Sichuan-Yunnan-Guizhou guerrilla column "won two battles in succession, and its expansion tripled within half a month." "Strongly cooperated with the second, third and fourth crossings of Chishui by the Red Army.
This lone army led by Xu Ce lives in danger every day, and the enemy army is several times larger than mine in the midst of encirclement and interception. However, the lone soldiers never flinched, and they continued to fight, block, and fight fiercely with the enemy, until most of the commanders, commanders and fighters died heroically, and by 1947, the entire army was almost completely wiped out.
Today, 88 years later, this history has been adapted into the movie "Lonely Army", which has reappeared in the eyes of contemporary people. This is the perseverance of a lone army, a tragic history, a heroic epic, the film is based on direct narration and flashback, based on historical facts, very real show, in the context of the time to the death, the Red Army soldiers their way of survival, the formation of the southern Sichuan guerrilla column, growth, shrinkage, bloody sacrifice, depicted in detail, let people visually hit the heart.
In the process of Chinese-style modernization, let us follow the footsteps of revolutionary martyrs and work hard to realize the great Chinese dream
