The University of Glasgow's TESOL MSc is an interdisciplinary programme that combines the expertise of the Faculty of Education and the Faculty of Modern Languages and Cultures, and is designed for students who have never Xi studied TESOL before and have studied the Xi between theory, practice and current research, enabling students to embed the programme's wide range of professional and research experience into the field of language teaching and research, deepening students' professional, in-depth understanding of English language teaching.
TESOL MSc Application Requirements at the University of Glasgow
1) Academic Requirements:
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: English, Education, Applied Linguistics, Translation, English Literature, TESOL TEFL (Undergraduate) or TCSOL (Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language) Major 21 Honours degree or non-UK equivalent. A modern foreign language other than English is also considered, with at least 2 years of relevant work experience (English language teaching) or 21 Honours degree or non-UK equivalent degree in a different subject, and teaching qualifications such as CELTA. In addition to the above qualifications, 2 years of relevant work experience is required. We will also consider applications from graduates from other majors, as long as they have extensive experience with TESOL and demonstrate a commitment to professional development. Students with a degree in Business English are usually not considered, and they should apply for a Master's degree in Educational Studies.
