On the morning of December 16, the second council and technical committee of the first session of the "four subjects and one joint" zinc-based new materials school-enterprise joint research center (hereinafter referred to as the research center) of Shaanxi Province was held in the third conference room of Zhongying Building, School of Materials, Xi'an Jiaotong University. More than 20 experts and scholars from Central South University, Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology, Xi'an University of Technology, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, Shangluo College, Northwest Nonferrous Metals Research Institute, Xi'an Survey and Design Institute and Xi'an Jiaotong University attended the meeting. The conference will be held in a combination of online and offline mode.
The meeting of the board of directors of the research center was presided over by Cui Xudong, director of the research center, vice chairman of the board of directors and chairman of Shaanxi Zinc Industry. The members of the board of directors reviewed and discussed the work summary of the research center for the current year and the work arrangement for the next year, the progress of the research projects under research, the preparation of the research center, and the project planning of the research center in the next 3-5 years. Subsequently, the second meeting of the first session of the technical committee was presided over by Professor Xing Jiandong, director of the technical committee. At the meeting, the experts of the technical committee listened to the technical report of the "work of the technical committee and recent research progress" made by Ma Shengqiang, director of the research center and associate professor of the School of Materials, and the experts at the meeting had a heated discussion on the technical report, and put forward important constructive opinions and suggestions on the research progress of biodegradable zinc alloy, ultra-high purity zinc purification equipment and high thermal conductivity zinc alloy, and at the same time put forward valuable opinions on the scientific and technological development plan of the research center.

After the meeting, the participants went to the Innovation Port Campus of Xi'an Jiaotong University, visited the Innovation Port Laboratory of the Research Center and the product exhibition hall of the Research Center, and affirmed the relevant products and equipment that have been developed. The participating experts also visited the digital exhibition hall of the Innovation Port and learned the spirit of the westward migration of Jiaotong University Xi.
