Sanxiang***December 27th (Quan**Reporter Li Qi, Correspondent Yang Zhengqiang, Chen Siyu) In cold weather, many people will turn on the heating or air conditioning to keep warm, and some citizens are also accustomed to using humidifiers to maintain indoor humidity. However, if you stay in such an environment for a long time in winter, you may feel unwell. Recently, Mr. Huang in Huai'an, Jiangsu Province, caused pneumonia when he turned on the humidifier.
On December 27, the reporter interviewed Li Shenglu, deputy director and chief physician of the General Outpatient Department of Hunan Chest Hospital, to understand the precautions for using humidifiers and air conditioners in winter. Li Shenglu reminded the public to develop the habit of cleaning humidifiers and air conditioners regularly, to maintain indoor air circulation when using, and to maintain appropriate indoor temperature and humidity and use time.
Li Shenglu introduced, "humidifier pneumonia" is a disease name, similar to the common summer "air conditioning disease", the disease mainly refers to the unscientific use of humidifiers, so that the harmful microorganisms in the air into the human respiratory tract, weak resistance will cause pneumonia.
Since the most comfortable air humidity for the human body is generally 40% to 60%, the temperature is cold and dry in winter, and bacteria and various microorganisms floating in the air and scattered in the dust and objects will dormant in different life forms when the climate is dry and the living conditions are harsh.
Once the humidifier is used 24 hours a day in an air-conditioned room, with the increase of moisture in the air and the right temperature, some molds, bacteria, and actinomycetes will grow and multiply rapidly. In addition, adding unclean water or not cleaning the humidifier frequently when using the humidifier can also lead to the growth of germs.
"Essential oil aromatherapy" and "fungicide" should not be put in a humidifier
In addition, there are many people who like to put substances such as "essential oil aromatherapy", "lemon juice", and "fungicide" into the humidifier in order to keep the water clean and inhibit the growth of microorganisms.
This is actually wrong. Li Shenglu said that after buying fungicides and adding them to humidifiers, the water mist can directly enter the lungs of people, which will cause toxic effects on local tissues and be extremely harmful. Long-term and large inhalation of this "toxic gas" may cause irreversible fibrosis in the lungs, reduce lung function, lead to alveolar damage, secondary infection, and in severe cases, death.
The humidifier itself is not the "culprit" that causes 'humidifier pneumonia', the correct use of the humidifier can not only increase air humidity, but also alleviate dryness, eczema and other problems to a certain extent, improve the comfort of the human body, and reduce the probability of respiratory tract infection. Li Shenglu reminded that if you use a humidifier often, if you have cough, phlegm, chest tightness, fever and other uncomfortable symptoms, you should rule out whether you have humidifier pneumonia, and then stop using the humidifier and go to the hospital for treatment in time.
In winter, it is also necessary to prevent "air conditioning disease".
A few days ago, the temperature in Changsha plummeted, and Mr. Zhang, who lives in Yuelu District, Changsha City, turned on all the air conditioners in his home to heat up. After a few days, Mr. Zhang couldn't lift his spirits at all, and he was very dry, and he also had symptoms such as nosebleeds, mouth ulcers, and cough.
Staying in a warm air-conditioned room for a long time in winter will affect the body's metabolism, and it is easy to have respiratory diseases, joint pain, gastrointestinal discomfort, dizziness and other uncomfortable symptoms. Li Shenglu said that as the indoor temperature rises, the human body will gradually adapt to this environment, and the internal metabolism will gradually slow down. If you are in this state for a long time, your body will gradually become "lazy", which will easily cause various diseases, and your mood will gradually decline, and your mental health will be affected to a certain extent.
In addition, in a warm air-conditioned room, the air is relatively dry, and long-term exposure to this environment will lead to insufficient moisture, which will cause increased lines and dry mucous membranes, resulting in dryness and dry mouth.

Pay attention to these things when using a humidifier
1.The elderly, children, and people with chronic lung diseases, such as bronchitis, asthma, COPD, arthritis, and diabetes, should use air humidifiers with caution.
2.Households that use humidifiers should be equipped with a thermometer with dry humidity, and when using a humidifier, it is more comfortable to adjust the humidity to about 50%.
3.The humidifier should be changed daily and cleaned once a week when using the humidifier. Also, tap water cannot be added directly to the humidifier. Because tap water contains a variety of minerals, it can cause damage to the humidifier's evaporator.
4.When using a humidifier in winter, pay attention to opening the window for ventilation in a timely manner. For humidifiers, they should be cleaned regularly to avoid the growth of pathogenic microorganisms inside.
