The SPAD 502Plus Chlorophyll Meter is easy to use.
Purpose: The SPAD 502 Plus Chlorophyll Meter provides an instant measurement of a plant's relative chlorophyll content, or "greenness", to understand the true nitro requirements of the plant and to help you understand how nitro is lacking in the soil or if too much nitrogen is being fertilized. You can use this instrument to increase the use of nitrogen fertilizer and protect the environment from excessive nitrogen fertilizer application that can pollute the environment, especially water sources.
How it works: The SPAD 502 Plus chlorophyll meter determines the current relative amount of chlorophyll in the leaf by measuring the difference between the optical concentration of the leaf at two wavelengths, 650 nm and 940 nm.
