On the afternoon of December 7, the final of the 4th Northeastern University College Student Safety Knowledge Contest was held in the Jianlong Academic Lecture Hall of the Science Museum. Vice President Zhang Hao, relevant persons in charge of the Youth League Committee, Graduate School, Student Affairs Office, and Safety Committee Office, as well as the heads of student affairs of the college who advanced to the finals attended the event.
Zhang Hao congratulated the six teams that entered the finals. Zhang Hao said that security is the foundation of development. The school has always attached great importance to the safety education of students, and has made every effort to create a safe, orderly and harmonious campus environment for students, so as to escort the growth and success of students. Zhang Hao emphasized that safety education is a compulsory course in the university, and hopes that students will take the knowledge competition as an opportunity to seriously learn Xi safety knowledge, master the necessary safety skills, and be able to save themselves or even each other at critical moments, so as to truly "learn safety, understand safety, be safe, and be safe".
The theme of this knowledge contest is "A New Chapter of a Hundred Years of Elegance, Safety and Development", which was jointly organized by the Public Security Department of Northeastern University, the Youth League Committee and the Office of the Safety Committee, and was divided into two parts: the selection and promotion competition and the finals, which lasted for 10 days. After the competition of the selection and promotion competition, the School of Marxism, the School of Foreign Chinese, the School of Metallurgy, the School of Materials Science and Engineering, the School of Information Science and Engineering, and the School of Robotics Science and Engineering advanced to the finals. In the finals, each team sent 3 team members to participate in the competition, and after five rounds of competition, such as style display, answering questions, racing against time, safety and risk sharing, the team from the School of Information Science and Engineering won the first prize, the team from the School of Materials Science and Engineering and the School of Robotics Science and Engineering won the second prize, and the team from the School of Marxism, the School of Foreign Chinese and the School of Metallurgy won the third prize. The relevant persons in charge of the Public Security Office, the Graduate School, and the Student Affairs Office presented awards to the winners.
It is reported that since the first college student safety knowledge competition of Northeastern University was held in 2020, nearly 20,000 students have participated in the competition, and the safety knowledge competition has become a powerful starting point for safety education, which has greatly expanded the coverage of safety education.
