From December 1st to 3rd, the 4th International Collegiate Engineering Mechanics Competition (Asia Division) hosted by Hohai University was held in Jiangning Campus. Meng Xin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection of Hohai University, Yuan Si, Director of the Competition Committee, Director of the Teaching Steering Committee of Engineering Basic Courses of the Ministry of Education, and former Vice President of Tsinghua University, Alexandr Shimanovsky, Director of the Competition Committee and Belarusian State Jiaotong University, and Gao Cunfa, Vice President of Jiangsu Mechanics Society and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, delivered speeches at the opening ceremony. Leaders of relevant functional departments of the university, as well as more than 700 teachers and students from 65 colleges and universities attended the opening ceremony.

It is understood that the International Collegiate Engineering Mechanics Competition was jointly initiated by many universities of the Russian Federation in 2005 and has been held for 17 consecutive sessions. Since 2019, Hohai University has been hosting the International Collegiate Engineering Mechanics Competition (Asia), which is divided into individual and team competitions, and the competition topics are in English, and the questions are answered in English. The holding of the International Collegiate Engineering Mechanics Competition (Asia Division) is a positive attempt by Hohai University to strengthen exchanges and deepen cooperation with universities in countries along the "Belt and Road", promote the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" to go deeper and more practical, and also have a far-reaching impact on the development of mechanics and other related disciplines.
