On December 15th, the "10th CAAE International Epilepsy Forum" hosted by the Chinese Anti-Epilepsy Association was grandly opened in Nanchang City. During the meeting, Vice President Ren Jie, head of the Epilepsy Center, won the "Second Prize" in the "Second CAAE Epilepsy Surgery Young Doctor Surgical Skills Competition" and was appointed as a director of the "Fifth Council of the Chinese Anti-Epilepsy Association".
On the final stage, the anti-epilepsy cause reached new heights
Since its inception in 2004, the CAAE International Epilepsy Forum has been successfully held for 10 sessions, and has become a well-watched brand conference in the field of neuroscience in China, and has been highly praised and actively participated by epilepsy and related professionals across the country, and is a regional international conference recommended by the International Anti-Epilepsy Alliance (ILAE) and the International Epilepsy Friends Association (IBE).
As a highly authoritative and influential academic exchange platform in the field of epilepsy, this forum is the first annual meeting after the epidemic and the largest in the past. The forum lasted for two and a half days, with five sub-venues, four foreign guests from the United States, the United Kingdom, Russia and Australia brought wonderful academic reports, and more than 70 domestic experts made speeches or special exchanges at the sub-venues, with nearly 2,000 people attending the meeting, the largest scale in the past, and more than 30 participating companies.
On this academic platform of epilepsy, academic exchanges are the highlight of this conference, and Vice President Ren Jie took "Cerebral Hemisphere Dissection ** Drug Refractory Epilepsy" as an example to carry out exchanges and discussions, and in the "2nd CAAE Epilepsy Surgery Young Doctor Surgical Skills Competition Finals", he stood out from hundreds of experts with superb surgical skills and vivid and wonderful on-site explanations, and won the "second prize" with high praise from the judges and colleagues.

Talent is the core competitiveness of the hospital's development, and young and middle-aged doctors are the backbone, carrying the hope and future of the hospital. Vice President Ren Jie graduated from Capital Medical University in 2001, studied Xi and worked in China-Japan Friendship Hospital from 2001 to 2009 and obtained a master's degree, and since 2009, he has obtained a doctorate degree in neurosurgery under the tutelage of Professor Luan Guoming, a well-known academic leader in functional neurosurgery in China, and has been working in Sanbo Brain Hospital of Capital Medical University and Kunming Sanbo Brain Hospital, mainly engaged in basic research and clinical work in functional neurosurgery.
From an outstanding young scholar in Sanbo Brain Department to a well-known clinical expert in functional neurosurgery, Vice President Ren Jie participated in the anti-epilepsy cause as a member of the Youth Committee of the China Anti-Epilepsy Association very early, and served as the vice president of the Yunnan Anti-Epilepsy Association and the first chairman of the Youth Committee. Since his medical career, Vice President Ren Jie has devoted all his energy to the clinical diagnosis and treatment, technology dissemination, and department management of functional neurosurgery, carried out a number of groundbreaking epilepsy surgeries in Yunnan, and led the Epilepsy Center of Kunming Sanbo Brain Hospital to successfully pass the review of the China Anti-Epilepsy Association (CAAE) last year, becoming the second batch of second-level epilepsy centers in the country, officially entering the China Epilepsy Consultation Map, and opening a new chapter in the high-quality development of Kunming Sanbo's anti-epilepsy cause.
There is no end to the technology, and the exploration never stops. Vice President Ren Jie said: The Epilepsy Surgery Department of the Epilepsy Center of Kunming Sanbo Brain Hospital is a feature, and it can meet the requirements of the first epilepsy center in terms of surgical volume, but it is limited by the existing scale and software and hardware conditions of the hospital. At present, the pace of construction of the new campus of Kunming Sanbo Brain Hospital has accelerated, and the equipment configuration and talent reserve have entered the "fast lane". In the future, we will continue to start with the cases around us, be diligent in summarizing, be good at innovation, consolidate basic skills, apply the new knowledge, new concepts and new progress learned Xi to practical work, and improve the comprehensive diagnosis and treatment capacity of epilepsy in the hospital while cultivating outstanding young epilepsy specialists, and strive to complete the construction of the first epilepsy center within 3-5 years, so as to send high-quality medical resources to the people, so that more patients and peers can understand Sanbo and better serve the people of Yunnan.
