Introduction to Ocean University of China

Ocean University of China is a key comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education with significant characteristics of marine and aquatic disciplines and a complete range of disciplines, and is a key university under the national "985 Project" and "211 Project", and was selected as a national "world-class university construction university" (Class A) in September 2017.

Founded in 1924, the school has gone through the private Qingdao University, National Qingdao University, National Shandong University, Shandong University and other periods, developed into Shandong Ocean University in 1959, was identified by the state as one of the 13 key comprehensive universities in the country in 1960, changed its name to Qingdao Ocean University in 1988, and changed its name to Ocean University of China in 2002.
