Dengbu Island, an island in the Zhoushan archipelago, broke out in the late civil war between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, and in 1949, after the founding of the People's Republic of China, continued to pursue the remnants of Chiang's military forces in the south.

The Battle of Dengbu Island was divided into two phases:

Phase 1: November 3 - November 6, 1949.

On November 3, 1949, at 16:00 in the afternoon, our army bombarded Dengbu Island with heavy artillery, marking the beginning of the first phase of the Dengbu Island Campaign. In total, the first 10,000 of our troops entered the battle, and they attacked in 50 ships. At 23:00 that night, more than 7,000 people of our army had successfully completed the landing.

On the 5th, the follow-up reinforcements of our army successfully completed the landing. It is a pity that at that time, our army did not control air power, and in addition it lacked experience in landing operations. Therefore, on the 6th, he evacuated Dengbu Island.

In the first stage of the Battle of Dengbu Island, ** held the island and achieved a temporary victory. In this battle, our army lost 380 people, 953 wounded, and no one was captured; ** 3,394 people captured.

Phase II: May 1950.

After the failure of the first phase of the landing, our army promptly reviewed and summed up the strategic objective of controlling air power. In May 1950, after the air supremacy was completely controlled by our army, the second phase of the Dengbu Island campaign was officially launched.

The ** that lost air supremacy could not be defeated.

On May 16, 1950, the 21st Army of the 7th Corps of the East China Field Army successfully occupied Dengbu Island. At this point, Dengbu Island was liberated.
