The rapid development of new energy vehicle technology has become the trend of the times, among which intelligent technology is particularly key. BYD has long been known for its high-efficiency new energy power and blade battery technology. Although its strength is often underestimated in terms of intelligent driving systems, in fact, through years of electrification development and full-stack self-development, BYD is also not lacking in black technology in intelligent driving technology.
In a recent test, BYD's U8 model performed well in three altitude simulation tests of the AEB system. BYD's AEB system test included three important scenarios: a 130km h test of a stationary front car, a 110km h daytime "disappearing front car" test, and a nighttime stationary front car test. Among them, the test results of 130 km h for stationary front vehicles are particularly eye-catching. In this test, BYD's Yangwang U8 model demonstrated its excellent braking ability and response speed, breaking the AEB record with absolute strength, successfully braking and stopping safely at high speeds. This achievement also breaks through the long-term industry habit of taking 30km h and 60km h as the main approved standards, and provides a new reference for safe driving under high-speed road conditions.
In addition, the Yangwang U8 also completed two additional tests: in the 110km h daytime "disappearing front car" test and the nighttime stationary front car test, its AEB system can complete the whole process from response to full braking in 3-4 seconds, and maintain a safe distance of more than one car from the car in front, fully demonstrating the system's monitoring, response speed and perception stability.
Not only that, with the blessing of the latest technologies such as Yi Sifang and Yun Yuan, BYD's intelligent driving algorithm can also perceive the physical state of the vehicle more comprehensively and concretely, so as to achieve accurate driving decisions, realize millisecond-level collaborative control of power and chassis, greatly shorten the braking distance, and in the case of improving safety redundancy, it can also control the vehicle attitude, and the driving safety and comfort of models such as U8 can also be effectively guaranteed after the AEB system is triggered.
It is worth mentioning that the AEB system, as one of the core technologies in the active safety system, puts forward extremely high requirements for the perception, decision-making and execution capabilities of the vehicle. As BYD, which has more than 90,000 engineers and an average of 15 patents per day, its huge R&D team allows BYD not only to have a complete three-electric technology system, but also to have a very comprehensive layout in intelligence. From the most basic security point of view, a complete technology research and development system has been established from the underlying operating system, to software and hardware development and matching, to system testing. By deepening the electronic and electrical architecture step by step and continuously improving the full-stack self-research capabilities, we have finally achieved a major breakthrough in the field of intelligent driving.
BYD's excellent performance through the AEB system not only dispelled consumers' doubts about the safety of the intelligent driving system, but also once again proved its leading position in the field of new energy and intelligent driving. On the road of intelligence and electrification, BYD is continuing to promote the development of the industry with its unique technological advantages and innovative spirit, showing remarkable strength and potential.
