Winter is cold, so most anglers subconsciously think that the fish are in deep water, so they have been guarding the deep water area for fishing, even if there is no mouth for a few hours, they will not suspect that the water depth is wrong, and would rather suspect the bait nest or complain about the poor resources.
In fact, according to my years of fishing experience, it is not necessary to fish deep water in winter, sometimes shallow water is better than deep water, and there are more fish in the nest!
Only in the case of cliff-like cooling will the fish run to the deep water, because the deeper the water, the less susceptible to the air temperature, the water depth is more than four or five meters, the water temperature is relatively constant.
Of course, this is only for crucian carp.
If you don't know whether to fish deep or shallow, I can say a few more specific cases for your reference.
The first is when the weather is relatively stable for several days in a row and there is sun during the day.
Note that the emphasis here is on "stable weather", which means that even if the temperature is very low, only a few degrees, it doesn't matter, as long as the temperature is like this for more than three consecutive days.
Of course, it would be better if the temperature difference between overnight and the next day could be smaller.
The temperature is stable and the temperature difference is small, which means that the water temperature is also stable, and there is sunlight, which means that the shallow water will heat up faster. When the temperature in the shallow water is higher than the temperature in the deep water, they will inevitably "form a group" to go to the shallow water to forage for food.
The second situation is a heavy obstacle area, fishing crucian carp to find aquatic weeds, more aquatic weeds crucian carp, and the courage is big, more than a meter or even dozens of centimeters can be fished.
As long as there are enough aquatic weeds and thick enough, even if the temperature is low and rainy days, it does not affect their feeding.
First of all, the natural grass hole is better than the grass hole you dig out manually, unless you dig the grass hole out and make a nest for a few days, at least an overnight nest (except for good resources).
Secondly, the small hole is better than the big hole, whether it is a natural grass hole or a grass hole dug by hand, the smaller the hole, the better, so that the fish is bold and more likely to encounter the large carp.
The choice of aquatic plants is also particular, you must find grass that grows from the bottom of the water, such as water hyacinth, which only grows on the surface of the water.
Another point, grass holes, grass seams, we must first test the bottom of the water before fishing, install the line group to plug in the float first throw a few rods, if the number of floats are relatively stable, if a high and low then it is very likely that the bottom is not clean, there are a lot of aquatic plants, which can not be fished.
The third scenario is on the day of the cooling. A few days after the drop are generally not good for fishing, but the day of the drop is a good time for fishing.
The reason is that the air temperature and water temperature are not synchronized, and the water temperature rises or falls more slowly than the air temperature. For example, today's big cooling, drop 5 degrees or 10 degrees, even if people are shivering and shivering, the water temperature is not low, you can touch it with your hands to feel it.
Generally cooling, the weather must be abnormal, either windy or rainy, so that the temperature of the water meter will drop, but this is helpful for fishing, the fish can honestly go to the bottom, will not float.
Fish are much better at sensing changes in the weather than humans, and when it comes to a big cooling, fish will eat a big meal before the water temperature drops, and shallow water will definitely have more food than deep water.
Therefore, on the day of the cooling or the day before, we also mainly fish in shallow water, but it is best to go to a place with aquatic weeds, or a bay with more food, so as to have a good harvest.
Winter fishing is a search for fish, and since it is looking for fish, you have to try it in various places, don't just guess by yourself, and don't take it for granted that fish should be in deep water when it's cold.
It's really uncertain, the easiest way is to play a few more nests, one in shallow water, one in deep water, one in the grass area, one in the light water area, and then take turns fishing to see which position is out of the fish!
