JAC Motors and Huawei signed a cooperation agreement on intelligent new energy vehicles

Based on Huawei's intelligent vehicle solutions, the two parties will cooperate comprehensively in product development, manufacturing, sales, service and other fields, and strive to build luxury intelligent networked electric vehicles.

In order to ensure that the cooperative models are listed on time according to the agreed plan, the two parties unanimously agree to divide labor and cooperate, and at the same time, the two parties promise to fully guarantee the resource investment at all stages of the cooperation project under this agreement in accordance with the agreed responsibilities and division of labor, including but not limited to human resources, production line resources, first-chain resources and funds.

In terms of product development, JAC is responsible for the product development of the cooperative models, and the specific division of labor is subject to the relevant agreements signed between Huawei terminals and/or affiliates and JAC.

In terms of manufacturing, JAC is responsible for building production bases and leveraging Huawei's advantages in related fields to build advanced manufacturing capabilities to achieve efficient delivery of cooperative models.

In terms of sales, JAC Motors agrees that Huawei terminals or its designated third parties will exclusively provide sales services for cooperative models worldwide, including but not limited to marketing, sales, users, and ecosystem operationsThe export of cooperative models can only be implemented after the two parties have reached an agreement.

In terms of services, in order to achieve efficient, convenient, and high-quality delivery, Huawei devices and JAC Motors will jointly build a "user-centric" service system around their cooperative models.

In terms of organization and operation, Huawei has established a regular exchange visit mechanism with the senior management of JAC Motors, regularly exchanged market information, industry trends, technological innovation, and marketing experience, established a joint working group and established a regular meeting and consultation mechanism, jointly formulated the overall strategic cooperation management method of the project, and jointly promoted the implementation of the projectFor specific projects, joint market research and joint marketing can be carried out, and the superior resources of both parties can be used to jointly expand the high-quality market and achieve mutual benefit and win-win resultsJointly establish a market risk early warning, prevention and disposal mechanism to protect the interests of both parties to the greatest extent.

The cooperation between JAC and Huawei began in 2019, but the two parties have not announced any substantial progress on the project.

In August this year, Guo Mingchi, an analyst at Tianfeng International, posted on social platforms that Huawei is jointly developing a 1 million yuan Wenjie MPV with JAC Motors, which is expected to be mass-produced in the second quarter of 2024, and the sales target is to reach about 50,000 units in one year, but it has not been confirmed by both parties.

On November 25, Changan Automobile announced that it had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Huawei, under which Huawei will integrate the core technologies and resources of its intelligent vehicle solution business (automotive BU) into the new company, and Changan Automobile and its affiliates plan to invest no more than 40% of the equity of the target company. After the news came out, Changan Automobile had a daily limit.

Subsequently, JAC Motors responded in November, saying that the strategic adjustment will not affect the follow-up cooperation between the two parties, and the company itself is highly concerned about this matter, and actively participates in investment and cooperation with Huawei.

On the afternoon of November 28, on the eve of A-shares, Yu Chengdong, executive director of Huawei and chairman of intelligent vehicle solution BU, announced at the launch conference of Zhijie S7 that Huawei has issued an invitation to Celis, Chery, JAC, and BAIC to open their shares, and hopes that China FAW Group will join. At the end of the day, FAW Jiefang, FAW Fuwei and other concept stocks responded to the daily limit, Changan Automobile, BAIC Blue Valley also rose sharply, and JAC Automobile rose 656% to close at 1950 yuan.

In the following two days, the share price of JAC gradually declined. As of December 1**, JAC Motors fell 210% to close at 17$27.
