The 70 sculptures in the exhibition show a comprehensive view of Jean Caldo's artistic style, who has a solid foundation of realism and modeling ability, and whose images of great men convey human will, perseverance and vision, and these great men have also deeply influenced his artistic creation. But at the same time, he will follow the form of natural objects and the true feelings of his heart as the starting point of sculpture creation, using wax, plaster, bronze and marble to find and express, and convey people's emotions, emotions and feelings through the abstract shape and body of objects. Xu Lian, vice president of the China National Academy of Painting, pointed out that in a series of works such as "Farewell", "Contemplation", "Embrace", "Confidence" and "Tenderness", the bronze human body becomes breathable, can sing, and has the seven emotions and six desires of people.

Many of his works are similar to the freehand sculptures of Chinese sculptor Wu Weishan, realistic freehand, the East and the West are only different in ways and concepts, but the pursuit of truth, goodness and beauty by human beings is the same, is eternal, and in Mr. Jean Caldo, the significance of exchanges and mutual learning between civilizations has been best embodied. Xu Lian said.
At the opening ceremony on the 25th, Wu Weishan, director of the National Art Museum of China and vice chairman of the Chinese Artists Association, said that with a very solid professional foundation, Jean Caldor's creation is supported by the criterion of modeling training, and seeks and creates his own linguistic logic in the double law of the truth of the objective world and the law of art, which not only respects the law, but also transcends the law with his sincerity to art.

What are the laws of sculptural art?Wu Weishan asked himself, "On the basis of following the laws of nature, the artist has created his own laws through his own unique understanding of the objective world and his unique grasp of the laws of art, which is called the great power of transcending the laws, and this power is the power of innovation." It was between classicism and modernism that Cardork constructed his own sculptural language. ”
It is reported that the exhibition will last until January 15, 2024. (ENDS).
