CCTV Beijing, January 2 (Reporter Lei Yan) In a person's life, about one-third of the time is spent in sleep, and adequate sleep is essential for an individual's physical and mental health. However, surveys show that 300 million people have sleep disorders. Insomnia is one of the common sleep disorders.
Drugs are still the main means of insomnia in clinical practice, but due to the wide variety of drugs, the effectiveness and tolerability of different drugs are not clear, resulting in a lack of effective basis for doctors to choose the best ** drugs. According to Peking University Sixth Hospital, Academician Lu Lin's team comprehensively evaluated the advantages and disadvantages of different drugs in the effectiveness and tolerability of primary insomnia, providing evidence-based basis for clinical primary insomnia disorder, and the results of the study were recently published in the authoritative journal "Sleep Medicine Reviews" in the field of sleep.
The researchers systematically searched eight databases and seven clinical trial registries, including Cochrane, PubM, Embase, and Web of Science. Meta-antagonists found that orexin receptor antagonists were most effective in shortening the time to fall asleep, reducing the time spent awake after falling asleep, increasing total sleep duration, and improving sleep efficiency. Among them, rebrazen and dalitexen showed better effects than placebo in improving sleep onset time, awake time after sleep onset, and total sleep duration, and were well tolerated. Non-benzodiazepinesDrugs are more effective than placebo in improving time to fall asleep, time spent awake after falling asleep, total duration of sleep, and sleep efficiency, but at the same time have higher safety risks. Among them, zaleplon and eszopiclone were more effective in increasing total sleep duration and improving sleep quality, respectively. In addition, melatonin receptor agonists may be effective for difficulty falling asleep and have a good safety profile. However, the long-term adverse effects of all drugs are unknown.
This study systematically analyzed the effectiveness and tolerability of different types of sedative-hypnotic drugs in primary insomnia, which is expected to provide a more comprehensive scientific basis and data support for clinicians and insomnia patients when choosing the best drug regimen.
