Recently, the 2023 annual academic meeting of the Home-School Coordination Professional Committee of the Chinese Society for Education Development Strategy was held at the Sanyan Base in Weifang City, Shandong Province. More than 200 people attended the meeting, including experts and scholars from universities and scientific research institutions, managers of primary and secondary schools and kindergartens, teachers, parent representatives and representatives of relevant social institutions.
Han Min, executive vice president and secretary general of the Chinese Society for Education Development Strategy, said in his speech that the theme of this academic annual conference "Improving the Quality of School-Family-Society Collaborative Education in the Construction of an Educational Power" fully reflects the overall awareness and strategic vision of the Home-School Coordination Special Committee to actively respond to the needs of the national education development strategy. Cheng Jinhui, chairman of the Home-School Coordination Committee, said that this academic annual meeting aims to guide and lead schools, families and society to further improve their understanding of collaborative education.
In the academic report session, dozens of experts and scholars focused on the background of the construction of an educational power, and discussed important topics such as the mechanism innovation of school-family-community collaborative education, the development of parent education resources, and the professional development of family education guidance.
Mechanism innovation: education-oriented, multi-party collaboration
At this annual meeting, the theoretical and mechanism innovation of school-home-community collaborative education was an important topic that the participants paid attention to. Hong Ming, a researcher at the China Youth Research Center, talked about the basic characteristics of school-home-community collaborative education and the construction of an innovative mechanism for school-home-community collaborative education under the leadership of the school, emphasizing that school-home-community collaboration should achieve the same goal, complementary functions, and mutual benefit. Jiang Hongde, director of the Academic Committee of the Home-School Coordination Committee, believes that schools should further play a leading role in collaborative education, and emphasizes the importance of educating students on family and country feelings. Li Jiacheng, executive vice president of the Shanghai Institute of Lifelong Education of East China Normal University, believes that the collaboration between the school and the society must be multi-subject and consult, co-build and share, pay attention to the participation, co-learning and contribution of each subject, and build an independent knowledge system in the practice and innovation of collaborative education.
From the theoretical perspective of bioecology, Wang Shutao, a professor at the Institute of Education of Xiamen University, talked about the need to pay attention to students' individual factors in collaborative education, improve their ability to learn independently and Xi, so as to form a virtuous circle with the improvement of the quality of school-home-society collaboration. Niu Nansen, an associate researcher at the Institute of Basic Education of the Chinese Academy of Education Sciences, shared how to view and deeply understand home-school co-education from the perspective of grasping the theoretical logic. Zhao Zhijun, executive director of the Academic Committee of the Home-School Collaboration Committee, believes that the optimization of students' mental models should be taken as the focus of school-home-community collaborative education.
Practical exploration: focus on solving practical problems
The practical experience of school-home-community collaborative education shared by various regions, primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, parent committees and relevant institutions at the annual meeting also brought reference and inspiration to the participants. The person in charge of the education department of Weifang City, Shandong Province, introduced the relevant work experience of the city. After years of exploration, Weifang City has formed a collaborative education model of leading the way, leading professionally, promoting curriculum, home-school collaboration and social participation. Experts and scholars from education departments and relevant research institutions in Chongqing, Henan Province, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, Pingshan District, Shenzhen and other places introduced the models and experiences of their respective regions in the construction of home-school co-education mechanism, parent school construction, and community college practice. In addition, experts and scholars from universities introduced the experience of home-school co-education in foreign countries based on their own research fields, such as the practical path of the participation of the governors of South Korea, Finland and other countries in school education.
The experience sharing from the front line of education also focused on some practical and hot issues in educating people. The Experimental School Affiliated to Beijing Haidian District Teacher Training School attaches great importance to students' mental health education, and effectively promotes communication between home and school through technology empowerment. Based on the actual needs of parents, Yinhu Middle School in Fuyang District, Hangzhou City helps rural parents improve their education concepts and establish a good parent-child relationship and family culture through the "Rural Mother Growth Classroom".
Professional development: There is an urgent need to strengthen talent development
At the meeting, some experts invariably mentioned the issue of professionalization and professional development of family education guidance. Some experts pointed out that at present, the demand for the quantity and quality of family education guidance personnel in China is very urgent, and it is facing practical difficulties such as uneven quality of personnel and insufficient motivation for professionalism. Some university scholars pointed out that most primary and secondary school teachers lack professional family education guidance and training. There is also a view that strong education must first strengthen teachers, and we should start from the training of normal students, the source of the teaching team, and start from the aspects of curriculum construction, practice system, management system, etc., to strengthen the cultivation of normal students' home-school collaborative education concept, communication ability and family education guidance ability.
Su Junyang, the newly elected chairman of the board of directors, proposed in the summary of the annual meeting that in the future, it is necessary to pay more attention to the development of collaborative education standards, the collaborative guarantee and improvement of students' mental health level, the development of professional standards for family education instructors, and the quality evaluation of collaborative education.
