According to reports, at 14 o'clock on December 16, the Huizhou Maritime Safety Bureau received a police report that at 11 o'clock on December 15, a company in Shenzhen organized 53 people to go to Huidong Sangzhou Island for camping team building, and planned to return at 14 o'clock on the 16th. Due to the excessive wind and waves at sea, the original ship could not go to Sangzhou Island, and the team building personnel could not leave the island to go ashore and ask for help.
After receiving the alarm, the Huizhou Maritime Safety Bureau immediately dispatched the coast guard ships "Haixun 0938" and "Haixun 09293", coordinated the three-purpose tugboats "Huaming", "Huapeng" and "Detong" at the No. 5 anchorage, the fishery administration ship "Yuzheng 44085" and the two nearby transport ships "Shenzhou 668" and "Yuehenghai 178" to carry out rescue in the waters of Sangzhou Island, and at the same time notified the Huidong County General Duty Office, Huidong County Marine Comprehensive Law Enforcement Brigade, Huidong Coast Guard Workstation and other units to send emergency forces to participate in the rescue. The rescuers were also reminded to wear life jackets to ensure the safety of the boat and personnel.
