About free checked baggage:

1.Size restrictions for checked baggage:The sum of the length, width and height of each piece of ordinary checked baggage must not be less than 60 cm or 24 inches and not exceed 203 cm or 80 inches, including pulleys and handles, beyond the above limits.

Items may not be transported as baggage.

2.Weight limit for checked baggage:Each piece of regular checked baggage must weigh at least 2 kg or 4 pounds and must not exceed 32 kg or 70 pounds.

3.Limit on the number of pieces of checked baggage:There is no maximum number of checked baggage per passenger (including ordinary baggage and special baggage). Each passenger needs to check in the ticket in addition to the free checked baggage allowance and membership rights.

The seventh and above pieces of additional paid baggage (including ordinary baggage and special baggage) must be applied to the Air China sales office in advance, and can only be checked in if the flight capacity permits. At the same time, Air China does not promise that the above baggage will be the same as that of passengers.

When the plane arrives at the destination, please do a good job of passenger communication at each business department and terminal.

About carry-on baggage:

Air China will limit the maximum size and/or weight and/or quantity of carry-on baggage and the types of items that can be carried into the cabin. In the event of any of the following cases in your carry-on baggage and belongings:

a.Exceeding the standard requirements for carry-on baggage and articles shown below;

b.Cannot be placed in an enclosed overhead compartment above the aircraft cabin or under the seat in front of you;

c.Due to aviation safety concerns, it cannot be carried on board.

Your carry-on baggage or items will be forwarded to baggage while waiting for the flight or boarding, and in accordance with relevant security regulations and airport requirements, such baggage or items will be re-checked for security, which may result in the inability to transport them on the same flight.

It is recommended that you take the initiative to check in your baggage at the check-in counter in advance.

1. Carry-on baggage standards

You may bring into the cabin small musical instruments (such as violins) that do not occupy a seat with the sum of the three sides not exceeding 115 cm (not exceeding 20 cm x 40 cm x 55 cm on each side), provided that the weight of each small musical instrument does not exceed 8 kg, and that they share the unchecked baggage allowance of the class of service of the ticket you are holding.

In addition to safety reasons, crutches, prostheses, cochlear implants, hearing aids, blind canes, blind lenses, visual aids, folding manual wheelchairs and other small assistive devices that need to be used at any time during the journey are allowed in the cabin of passengers with disabilities, injuries or illnesses on the flight. If there is no storage facility or space in the cabin, it can be checked in free of charge.
