When it comes to "dropping out", the first reaction of the vast majority of students is that they are forced to withdraw from school because they made mistakes in school. It's true that this is one of the most common reasons we are familiar with dropping out from primary school to university, but what you may not expect is that there are also students who choose to drop out voluntarily.

Recently, various versions of the national line for postgraduate entrance examinations have attracted wide attention among college students, reflecting their desire to study for graduate school. Although we have heard the news of graduate school dropping out, many people do not believe it and do not understand it.

However, when you are actually admitted to graduate school, you gradually realize that there are many people who choose to drop out. Maybe we are all curious, why did we choose to drop out of school? After so much hard work, is the final result just to give up?

However, when I started my graduate school life, it suddenly dawned on me that graduate school and college are two very different experiences, and there is a real feeling of siege. It is precisely because of this that there are cases where graduate students choose to drop out.

Of course, there are many reasons to drop out:

Huge psychological burden: One of the determinants of the quality of life of graduate students is our master's supervisor, whose principles of life, attitude towards students, and daily living habits will all affect students.

If the supervisor does not agree with the student's thinking, dropping out may be the best option. Students' scientific research ability is also another aspect that affects the life of graduate students, and the most important thing in graduate school is to conduct academic and scientific research, which cannot be completed in a short period of time, and may require sitting on a cold bench for a long time.

Therefore, the combination of the two can bring an overload of psychological burden, and over time the idea of dropping out of school will arise.

More "money" opportunities: The simple goal of many graduate students is to find a good job when they graduate. However, during the period of graduate school, the people and things that students come into contact with are changing, and some students may encounter an opportunity with a "way to make money" and naturally choose to give up graduate school.

For example, one of my graduate students chose to pursue the e-commerce industry in her second year of graduate school because she was good at and passionate about this field and could bring in a good income.

Choosing World War II Postgraduate Entrance Examination: In order to get the opportunity to study in graduate school, many students unconditionally choose to adjust. However, when they actually entered the transfer college and began to study, they were shocked by the atmosphere here, and gradually had the idea of dropping out.

In short, success in graduate school does not mean that we have to keep studying. However, if you choose to drop out, you must be cautious and must reach the point where you have to drop out. Because the honor that comes with graduating from graduate school is unmatched by many options, at least it ensures that you have a secure life.
