In the late Qing Dynasty, due to the corruption and incompetence of the Qing Dynasty, China was forced to sign a series of unequal treaties with the Western powers and had to cede large tracts of land. However, with the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Chinese people have achieved rapid economic recovery and gradual increase in national strength through arduous efforts. As part of this process, many once lost territories, such as Macau and Hong Kong, have been able to return to the embrace of the motherland.

However,In the 60s of the 20th century, when its friendly country Pakistan took the initiative to return nearly 6,000 square kilometers of land, India suddenly intervened to obstruct it, claiming that the land belonged to them. Known as the Karakoram Corridor, this land is located on the Tibetan Plateau of China and the northeastern border of Pakistan, with an average altitude of more than 5,500 meters above sea level and a cold climate.

According to historical records, the Karakoram Corridor belonged to the Pishan Kingdom of the Western Regions during the Western Han Dynasty. The Pishan Kingdom had always sought refuge from the Han Dynasty and paid tribute to the imperial court. Therefore, the Han Dynasty established the Western Regions Protectorate here, and incorporated this land into the Chinese territory. Successive imperial courts have stationed a large number of troops here for jurisdiction. However, in the late Qing Dynasty, the British sent Indians secretly into the Karakoram Corridor and illegally gifted it to India. The Qing Dynasty did not sign any treaties with the British, and China never gave the land to the British as compensation.

After the end of World War II, India and Pakistan were partitioned, and Pakistan gained control of the Karakoram Corridor. Subsequently, Pakistan established good diplomatic relations with China and decided to return the Karakoram Corridor to China. China has placed it under the jurisdiction of Xinjiang. However, India's claim that the territory belongs to them is unjustified. In this regard, we resolutely respond that the Karakoram Corridor is China's territory, and any encroachment will never be tolerated. We will resolutely defend the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country and safeguard the dignity and interests of the country.

China has experienced historical twists and turns, but it has always maintained a firm pursuit of territorial integrity. This pursuit stems from respect for history and the preservation of national interests. The Chinese people know very well that the prosperity and stability of a country cannot be separated from territorial integrity and national unity. Therefore, no matter how the outside world interferes, China always adheres to its position and defends its interests.

The return of the Karakoram Corridor is a concrete example of China's steadfastness in defending its territorial integrity. The Chinese people have deep emotional and historical memories of this land. Once part of China's territory, it has a rich cultural heritage and cultural landscape. The Chinese people do not want to see an inch of land violated, and they will not tolerate any country's illegal claims to China's territory.

China's position is clear: we stand for the settlement of territorial disputes through peaceful dialogue. China has been actively promoting border negotiations with India, hoping to resolve disputes through equality and mutual benefit and maintain regional peace and stability. China has always firmly believed that through dialogue and cooperation, solutions to problems can be found and a win-win situation can be achieved.

However, we will not sit idly by and ignore any provocations and violations. China has the determination and capability to safeguard its own security and territorial integrity. We will take all necessary measures to defend the interests of the country and safeguard the dignity of the country. At the same time, we also call on the international community to jointly uphold international law and order, and provide active support and assistance for the settlement of regional disputes.

China's development is inseparable from a peaceful and stable external environment. China has always pursued an independent foreign policy and unswervingly followed the path of peaceful development. We are ready to work with other countries to build a harmonious and stable international order and advance the noble cause of peace and development for mankind.

With the joint efforts of the Chinese people, China is gradually realizing the great dream of national rejuvenation. China will continue to unswervingly follow the path of peaceful development and make greater contributions to world peace and prosperity. China's territorial integrity and sovereignty are unshakable, and no one should underestimate the determination and ability of the Chinese people to defend their national interests. We are confident and capable of defending our territory and upholding the dignity of our country.
