More than twenty days after her 50th birthday, Zhu Ling left the world that ruined her life due to thallium poisoning.

On December 23, 2023, according to Tsinghua University, Zhu Ling, an alumnus of the school's class of 1992, passed away in Beijing on December 22. Previously, it was reported that Zhu Ling had a brain tumor, high cranial pressure, dilated pupils, a high fever of 39 degrees, and fell into a severe coma.

Zhu Ling's early ** (on the Internet).

The versatile Zhu Ling was born in 1973, was admitted to Tsinghua University at the age of 19, and at the end of 1994, at the age of 22, she had symptoms of poisoning during her time at school, with stomach pain and hair loss, and was admitted to the hospital. During this period, many of Zhu Ling's classmates sent emails to the world for help through the Internet with unknown illnesses. On April 28, 1995, Zhu Ling was officially diagnosed with thallium poisoning, a highly toxic substance. The Beijing Municipal Institute of Occupational Disease Prevention and Control confirmed that Zhu Ling had been poisoned with thallium twice, and after the second poisoning, the thallium content in Zhu Ling's body far exceeded the lethal dose.

As a result, Zhu Ling's parents suspected that someone had deliberately poisoned him, and Tsinghua University reported the case to **. Since then, under the eyes of the whole society, the suspicions of the case investigation have come and gone, looming, and the hearts of the public have been grabbed.

Sadly, the truth has since been lost. It was not until 2013 that Beijing ** reported that due to the loss of evidence in the case, despite the best efforts of the case-handling personnel, the case could not be solved, and said that the case was "not interfered with in any way".

To this day, the real culprit is still inconclusive.

After Zhu Ling's death on the 23rd, there was another surge of questioning on the Internet, especially speculation about the identity and background of the suspect.

Zhu Ling and his parents (** on the Internet).

The tragic experience experienced by Zhu Ling is like a mirror, reflecting the deep fear and uneasiness in the heart of every ordinary and humble ordinary person.

When we care about Zhu Ling, we actually care about ourselves. The first 20 years of her life were quiet, just like every ordinary person you and me, with dreams, hard work, and looking forward to a better future. However, when malice strikes and beauty is torn to pieces, how should you and I deal with it?

Fortunately, in this day and age, we still have justice and the rule of law that we can rely on. It is precisely for this reason that when all kinds of unexplained "coincidences" appear one after another in the Zhu Ling case, the public will set off a search for and torture the clues of the case.

Equality before the law has long become a cornerstone of society deeply rooted in the hearts of the people. We have always believed that every life, whether rich or poor, rich or low, should be equally protected. We have always firmly believed that there should be no blind spots in the rule of law, let alone privileges. That's why we never give up on finding the truth.

Yes, the strong and unyielding Zhu Ling finally left. But her story continues. Her death is not only an accusation against **, but also a warning to society.

In this rare winter, let's remember Zhu Ling. The misfortune of her life will forever remind us that individual freedom and dignity, social justice and security, are never taken for granted, and it requires each of us to persevere and call again and again.

May the bitter cold pass as soon as possible, and may the truth come as soon as possible.
