Volume XVIIAgainNow let's take a lookRighteousness as stated above. It is said that he is a goddess, and he asks about the three essentials of the worldOne, the lower knot is broken, the two, the upper part is convenient, the third, that is, the other is convenient, and the other is good.
Let's briefly explain the gist of what I said earlier. Roughly speaking, there are three main meanings of the question asked by the Celestial Maiden to the Buddha, one is the state of the five lower knots, the second is the method of severing the five upper knots, the third is the method of severing the five lower knots, and what is good judgment.
That's what I askedThen Shizun replied casually. It is said that the body is light and relieved, and it is convenient to answer his question. From the idea of not doing is not tilted, and it is convenient to answer his question, and it is not broken. And in front of the other judgment, the heavenly maiden, that is, the understanding.
After the goddess asked, the Buddha replied to her question accordingly. The Buddha's "lightness of the body, peace of mind, and good liberation" answers the state of attainment after the five sub-knots are broken, but it is not the method of separation. The Buddha's reply to the phrase "no action and no inclination" is the method of breaking off the five upper knots, but it is not the state of attainment after severing the upper knots.
It is explained in the "Pil Xun Ji", "It is said that it is divided and broken on it, and before the heavenly maiden, it is broken under it, that is, it is understood." It is said that the body is light and the heart is liberated, which is also the evidence of the above separation. "After breaking off the five upper knots, the state of attainment is the same as the situation of breaking off the five lower knots, and it is also light and relieved.
Only the rest of the knots are convenient, and they are good at decisiveness. Then the worldFirst of all, there is no determination in repair, and the difference is widely discussed, and it is convenient to answer. It is said that if it can be broken, if it is broken, it will be broken. This is the law, and the name can be broken. There is no determination in repairThe name is as good as the name. The indignation is said to be a shameful product; The love that has been cut off is called greed;BrokenDrowsyYes, it is called stupidity. If so, it is called canSuch as:Broken
The remaining question is how to break the five knots, and what is a good judgment. At this time, the Buddha first used the practice of Xi to explain the difference in the method of separation. The first is "being able to break", which refers to "understanding the Dharma", understanding the four noble truths of suffering, concentration, extinction, and path. The second is "such as breaking", which refers to the fact that there is no determination in the cultivation Xi, and the Xi can be broken by cultivating according to this. The third is "broken", which is the fault that belongs to anger and resentment, the fault that belongs to the love of greed, and the fault that belongs to the stupidity. Taken together, it is called "can, as, and broken".
If it is convenient to answer widely, only the rest is good to judge. CompoundSectionThere is no reason to find the cause of difference, and answer it well. wordsGood judgesAfter all, it is broken, far awayOne-cutMiscellaneous staining。By knowing the law, the interpretation is finally broken; From the cultivation of no reason, the interpretation of the distance is broken;By greedBeholdObsession and sleepOne-cutJudgment, interpretationOne-cutMiscellaneous stainingWhen you know that the name is abbreviated in this meaning.
The remaining question is what is good judgment, and the answer is from the first kind of cultivation Xi the difference between non-seeking and non-determination, that is, having already attained non-seeking and non-seeking meditation. Good judgment has three meanings, one is "after all", it is necessary to understand the four noble truths of suffering, concentration, extinction, and path, and then practice meditation in order to stop it after all;The second is "far separation", which refers to the practice of Xi without seeking certainty, in order to stay away from troubles; The third is "all miscellaneous and disjointed", which refers to the fact that the current afflictions of greed, hatred, and naivety and the seeds of afflictions have been cut off. That's the point.
Another heavenly girlAccording to what you have learned, you have not won the victoryhas left greedNot far from greed, but happy to ask.
Then, according to the learned sage, the Celestial Maiden has not yet attained the fruition of non-learning, although she has been far away from greed, but she has not yet been far away from the covetousness of the cesium realm and the cesium-free realm, and has not been completely liberated, and asked the Buddha "but not the waist boat".
MeaningFamous waist boat. As the scripture saysShame on the axis of the waist boat. Those who have not yet obtained the waist boat in this waist boat are said to be called the waist boat. What is the name of the waist boat?It is said to be in the knotsGood liberation of the mind.
The Yogi Treatise on the Land explains in the Compendium, "If the world is in the sea, a gourd, or a floating leather bag, such as a floating sac, is placed on the waist, and it is called the waist boat." The sea is a metaphor for life and death, consciousness is like a waist, and wisdom is like a boat. Those who are ashamed of the axis of the waist boat, ashamed of the axle, can take good wheels, drive the wisdom of the car, and survive the danger. ”
The "waist" here is a metaphor for consciousness, and the "boat" is a metaphor for wisdom. It's like tying a gourd around your waist or a puffy bag to cross the sea. According to the wisdom of the mind, you can also get through the sea of life and death. As the Buddhist scriptures say, "the axle of shame is the waist boat", and the mind of shame is like the axle of the chariot, which can take the wheel of good deeds, drive the chariot of wisdom, and survive danger and suffering. The "unattained waist boat" mentioned here refers to the learned saints who have not yet broken off the five upper knots and have not completely liberated themselves from their troubles.
