Deutsche Welle said on December 24 that Austria planned to purchase new energy passenger cars from the Chinese car brand BYD as official cars, but it caused an uproar. Some locals believe that instead of using cars made in China, they should choose localized car brands, and blame BYD for "human rights" problems in car production.
China's first start is late, and technological development has been restricted by Western countries, so we chose to overtake in corners and start anew, and realize the transformation of the passenger car market nationwide by vigorously developing the new energy vehicle industry, and have achieved remarkable results, according to the "GlobalEV Outlook2023" released by the International Energy Agency in April 2023, China, Europe and the U.S. dominate global sales, with China once again leading the way, accounting for about 60% of global EV sales. More than half of the world's electric vehicles are now on the road in China, and the 2025 sales target for new energy vehicles has already been exceeded.
In the face of the rise of Chinese enterprises, some people can't sit still and try their best to suppress sanctions, which is a fact that is obvious to the people of the world, and the hat of "human rights" is always used by European and American countries, but in fact, we all understand that when Chinese companies are detained on the black pot of "human rights" issues, it just shows that there is nothing to black in other aspects, and can only be suppressed through some clumsy methods. This kind of disguised attack is not because they have grasped any handle, but precisely because they panicked and could not find the handle, so they use this "trumped-up" charge to put Chinese companies at a disadvantage.
On November 24 this year, BYD just rolled off the assembly line for the 6 million new energy vehicles, with sufficient production capacity. At present, BYD's new energy passenger car business in Europe has covered 19 countries and regions, with a total of more than 170 stores.
Bydatto3 (Yuan Plus), Dolphin and Seal are available in the UK, France, Italy, Spain and Turkey, and the BYD Milan Cathedral Pioneer Store officially opened in November this year. At the same time, the seal was selected as a candidate for the European 2024 model of the year, and the Bydatto 3 (Yuan Plus) won the best compact SUV of the year in Ireland, and its product strength was certified by the industry authority.
BYD Auto's overseas momentum is sufficient, but its overseas plan is not limited to selling cars. On December 22, BYD announced that it will build a new energy vehicle production base in Szeged, Hungary, which will be built in phases and is expected to create thousands of local jobs.
The construction of this new production base plans to use the world's advanced process equipment and highly automated production processes to build the world's leading new energy vehicle manufacturing base, which will actively promote the development of the local economy, promote technological exchanges and innovation between China and Hungary, and help the local community build a green "ecosystem" with the advantages of BYD's own whole industry chain.
