China Shipbuilding Group was formed by the merger of China Shipbuilding Industry Group and China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation at the group level in 2019, that is, the merger of North and South Shipbuilding at that time. After the merger, the North and South Shipbuilding Group are divided into three major parts: one is the first platform, that is, China Shipbuilding and China Heavy Industry, and China Shipbuilding Defense. The second is the supporting platform, such as the North Shipbuilding called China Power, the South Shipbuilding Science and Technology, China Shipbuilding Technology is actually to build a workshop for the shipyard, which used to be called steel structure engineering, and later in addition to building a plant and began to do new energy, sea breeze and other businesses. The third is the innovation platform, namely China Coastal Defense and China Shipbuilding Emergency of Heavy Industry Group, which belong to the strategic emerging sector.
There is currently no clear direction for the asset restructuring of the shipbuilding system, but the shipbuilding group has a guideline to complete the asset integration at the level of the entire shipbuilding group by June 2026. According to the policy-driven and special valuation era background, the author expects that the asset integration of the shipbuilding group can be divided into three steps:
Step 1: Hudong-Zhonghua was merged into China Shipbuilding to form a Chinese shipbuilding with the five major shipyards of Jiangnan, Waigaoqiao, CSSC Chengxi, Huangpu Wenchong and Hudong-Zhonghua as the main body.
Step 2: China Shipbuilding and China Shipbuilding Defense merged, and then merged to absorb China Heavy Industries, and the first assets were packaged and listed, and made into a listed company to enhance and strengthen China's shipbuilding capabilities.
Step 3: The "power" assets in China's ships will be dismantled, and China Power in the North Shipbuilding will be listed in a big package.
The above is only the author's expectation, as there is no clear plan in this regard recently. It is imperative to merge and reorganize China's shipbuilding, it is only a matter of time, how to reorganize and integrate in order to achieve the take-off of China's shipbuilding industry, welcome netizens to express their suggestions!
