On December 28, in the ** workshop of GAC Aion Intelligent Ecological Factory, as a Haobo HT vehicle was slowly driving off the production line, GAC Aion's cumulative production and sales reached one million units, becoming the world's fastest pure electric brand and new energy brand to break one million, and also the world's fastest car brand to break one million.
It is understood that from the first car to the millionth off the assembly line, GAC Aion only took 4 years and 8 months, while BYD and Tesla took 13 and 12 years respectively.
At present, GAC Aion has two smart ecological factories, and its third plant in Changsha is also under construction, which is expected to be put into operation in June 2024, when GAC Aion's annual production capacity will reach 800,000 vehicles.
In recent years, GAC Aion's sales have increased significantly, with its sales from 2019 to 2022 reaching 42,003, 60,033, 120155, and 271156 respectively, doubling almost every year.
Last year, GAC Aion's high-end luxury brand, Hyper Haobo was officially launched, and a total of 3 models have been launched, among which the first high-end pure electric SUV product Haobo HT under the Hyper Haobo brand, which was launched in October this year, has attracted the attention of many consumers.
As of the end of November this year, GAC Aion's cumulative sales this year have reached 434056, achieving a year-on-year increase of 7999%, of which the sales in November reached 41,567 units, a year-on-year increase of 4451%。
For future planning, GAC Aion has set a target of producing and selling one million vehicles by 2025. In order to achieve this goal, GAC Aion will comprehensively promote the dual-brand operation of "Aion + Haobo" in 2024 and further enhance the internationalization strategy.
In addition, GAC Aion has not fallen behind in terms of internationalization. In June this year, GAC Aion signed a memorandum of cooperation with Jinhui, a representative of the Thai dealership, and held a launch conference in Thailand in September to release the first overseas model, AION Y Plus, thus kicking off Aion's internationalization.
In December of the same year, GAC Aion and Cambodia Xinghui Automobile Cloth officially entered the Cambodian market, which is also the second overseas market officially opened by Aion in the world after the first stop in Thailand. At present, GAC Aion has achieved the export of 3,500 vehicles.
