Zheng Xiaoxu (1860-1938) was a native of Minhou, Fujian. Politician, poet, calligrapher in the late Qing Dynasty, good at poetry and books. Today, I read Zheng Xiaoxu's "Wujian Military Resources Reading Tower Song".

The deceased was born in the ground tower, with sorrow and gloom.
The sun is about to set in the west mountains of Longzhou, and the two rivers are running to flow the city.
The Heavenly Sword suddenly flew, and the snow ridge frost saw the edges.
Looking at the shore from afar, people are pointing together, overlooking the pontoon bridge and breaking the river.
The sores and miasma are all gone, and the lonely standard is only in the slanting sun.
You don't see a boy who can donate his body for the country, and the Fubo Temple is still in place.
The copper pillar is buried in nowhere to be found, and the name of the state is still called Wenyuan.

This is a late Qing Dynasty poem. Gao Shi is "the smoke and dust of the Han family in the northeast", since the Sino-French War, the late Qing Dynasty "war dust" was once in the southwest, this area is often "internal strife" and "external strife" entangled. At this time, Zheng Xiaoxu served as the Minister of Frontier Defense of Guangxi, guarding Longzhou, and was called "poet border marshal".
Zheng Xiaoxu returned to Xiang Wenwu and was heroic. As Minister of Frontiers, he managed the border areas between China and Vietnam in an orderly manner. He built a memorial tower for the soldiers of the Wujian Army who died in the rebellion, and inscribed poems for the tower. It is written with sadness and vigorous language. The first four sentences talk about the origin of the tower, and there is a sense of sublime in the sadness: the tower gushes out from the ground, the heroic soul is immortal, and the sky is high. Eight sentences to talk about the environment of the tower, is not only to write the scene, but also whimsy, to fly the image of the sword to describe the tower has the spirit of blocking the river, the righteous air to suppress the evil. In the last four sentences, in southern Xinjiang, I think of the Han Fubo general Ma Yuan, and encourage the soldiers to follow his example, although the bronze pillar he cast is gone, but the Van Yuan state in Vietnam (belonging to Lang Son Province) still makes people remember his British name (Ma Yuan Zi Wen Yuan).
Zheng Xiaoxu said that once his poems were written, he would not change a word, "bones have been born, let them be fragmented and abrupt", which can be described as a ridge of wind and bones. He expects that he can be a horse aid on the outside, and Zhuge on the inside, his hands and eyes are extraordinary, and he is heroic, and in the end, it is the word "heroic" that mistakes him. Later, he served as the prime minister of the puppet Manchukuo, and when he was the "Zhuge of the dynasty", he boasted that "the heavens returned to Shuo Mo as Shenjing", and wanted to use the strength of the Japanese to use the northeast as a base again to restore the Qing Dynasty. But it's a pity that Manchuria at this time was neither Manchuria at the end of the Ming Dynasty, nor Longzhou under his rule back then, and he miscalculated this time. The puppet Manchukuo fell, and Chen Yinke took over his words and sarcastically mocked him: "Marveling at the desert as Shenjing, the Seven Treasures tower fell overnight." "Zheng Zhuge " was also ruined because of this. Read his poems, appreciate his calligraphy, feel his people's spirit, behind the strong wind, there is a power to affect the fortune of the world.
