Xiao Haipeng, male, born in Guangzhou in August 1964, is a doctor of medicine, a second-level professor and a doctoral supervisor. He graduated from the Department of Medicine of Sun Yat-sen Medical University in 1988 and stayed in the First Affiliated Hospital to work in the First Affiliated Hospital, and obtained a doctorate degree in endocrinology in 1997. He is currently the leader and chief expert of the Department of Endocrinology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, a famous doctor of Sun Yat-sen University, a member of the 25th Council of the Chinese Medical Association, the vice president of the Endocrinology and Metabolism Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, the deputy secretary-general of the Clinical Teaching and Research Center for Medical Education of the Ministry of Education, and a member of the European Alliance for Medical Education (AMEE). He has won the second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award, the Outstanding Teacher of Baosteel of the Ministry of Education, the Famous Teacher of Guangdong Province, the Famous Teacher of the "Guangdong Special Support Program", the Outstanding Teacher of Southern Guangdong, and the English Presenter of Guangzhou's bid to host the Asian Games.
From 2003 to 2014, he successively served as the Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office, the Deputy Director of the Medical Academic Affairs Office, the Vice President of the First Affiliated Hospital, the Vice President of Sun Yat-sen Medical College, and the Director of the Medical Academic Affairs Office, and served as the Secretary of the Party Committee of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University since April 2014, the President and Secretary of the Party Committee of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University since November 2014, and a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Sun Yat-sen University since May 2017. Since July 2020, he has been a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Executive Vice President of Sun Yat-sen University.
He has presided over a number of national natural science and provincial and ministerial projects, and edited the national planning textbooks "Introduction to Clinical Medicine (2nd Edition)" (Higher Education Press) and "Basic Clinical Skills (2nd Edition)" (Peking University Medical Press), and deputy editor-in-chief of "Internal Medicine (9th Edition)" (People's Medical Publishing House) and other textbooks
In March 2022, he was awarded the title of Top Ten Outstanding Contribution Hospital Management Experts. In 2023, Professor Xiao Haipeng presided over the teaching achievement of "Innovation and Practice of First-class Medical Talent Training Model in Medical Education" in Three Stages and Four Penetrations", which won the second prize of National Teaching Achievement Award.
