On November 22, the Ejina Banner Culture, Tourism, Radio, Film and Television Bureau, together with the Banner Public Security Bureau, the Banner Cultural Market Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Bureau, and the Banner Cultural Relics Protection Center, formed a working group to jointly carry out winter patrols and inspections of field cultural relics.
The purpose of this operation is to resolutely crack down on illegal and criminal acts such as stealing cultural relics and picking up cultural relics, and effectively protect the safety of cultural relics at the Juyan site.
During the inspection, the working group visited key areas of the Juyan site, such as Yabulai City, Juyan City, Greentown, and Heicheng, and inspected the protection status of immovable cultural relics on the spot, paying special attention to whether there were illegal excavations and destruction of cultural relics and the phenomenon of surface cultural relics being picked up.
Fortunately, the inspection site found no traces of illegal excavation and destruction, and no one was found to be picking up surface artifacts.
Up to now, Ejinaqi has carried out more than 50 patrols and inspections of field cultural relics and sites, with a cumulative journey of more than 12,000 kilometers, covering 290 cultural relics sites.
Among them, the number of joint patrols and inspections is 6 times, covering more than 1,400 kilometers, covering more than 30 cultural relics and sites.
During these inspections, a total of 24 people, 3 cars and 4 motorcycles were persuaded to return, and no illegal excavation and destruction were found.
Next, Ejina Banner will strengthen the protection of cultural relics through comprehensive means such as civil air defense, physical defense, and technical defense.
Conduct inspections from time to time in conjunction with multiple departments to effectively stop the phenomenon of picking up cultural relics in the site area.
At the same time, it is necessary to actively carry out propaganda on the protection of cultural relics and raise the awareness of the broad masses of the people in the protection of cultural relics, with a view to preventing and reducing the illegal acts of stealing and destroying cultural relics.
