The 2023 Creative Challenge report shows that China's manufacturing industry has once again shocked the world.

According to the Global Times, the Japan Association released data on December 28 saying that in 2023, China will become the world's largest automobile exporter for the first time, and the volume of automobile exports will surpass Japan and become the world's first.

It also means that Japan has lost its position as the world's No. 1 exporter of automobiles for the first time since 2016.

In the first 11 months of this year, Japan exported 3.99 million vehicles, compared to 441 in China, according to Japanese data20,000 units, with a gap of 4220,000 units.

Although the data for the last month is not yet available, it is obviously unrealistic to catch up with the gap of at least 400,000 units in a month. Therefore, there is no doubt that China will become the number one in the world.

This news brought a huge shock to the West and the world. On the one hand, many Western economists believe that *** is a symbolic industry of manufacturing, the United States has become the world's number one industrial power with ***, and Germany and Japan have recovered rapidly after World War II.

Therefore, it is difficult for Western countries to accept China as a world power in this area. On the other hand, China has developed too fast in recent years, which has surprised the West and completely subverted their imagination.

The automobile manufacturing industry has the characteristics of large industrial relevance, strong capital accumulation ability, and can drive a large number of jobs, and the industrial chain involved is very extensive.

Whether it is horizontal energy, steel, metal manufacturing, chemical materials, electrical machinery, etc., or vertical financial services, wholesale and retail, transportation services, etc., will be affected by the development of the automobile manufacturing industry.

Therefore, the automobile industry is still regarded as an important engine of the economy, and is regarded as a pillar industry of economic development by the United States, Europe, Japan and other countries.

In Japan, the output value of the automobile industry once reached 40% of the total industrial output value, providing 83% of jobs;

In the European Union, the output value accounts for 4%-7% of the overall GDP, creating 116% of jobs and have a significant impact on the EU economy.

Because of this, the rise of China's auto industry has worried countries such as the United States, Europe, and Japan.

The European Union has launched a countervailing investigation into Chinese automobiles, and the United States is considering imposing higher tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles on top of the 25% tariffs already imposed on China. But these initiatives are doomed to be futile.

Looking at the history of China's auto industry, the growth rate of China's auto exports is not only unprecedented, but even unimaginable to ourselves.

It took us 55 years to export cars from 1 to 1 millionBut from 1 million to 4 million units, we only took 4 years, and every year we have made great progress.

Even in 2002, China exported only 20,000 cars a year, but only 21 years later, in 2023, China will become the world's largest exporter of cars. Such a speed of development can be called a miracle in the history of human industrial development.

China's auto factories have been able to achieve such results, mainly thanks to our "lane change and overtaking" in the field of new energy vehicles. After several years of development, we already have the world's leading technology in the field of electric vehicles, as well as the best advantages that are difficult for other countries to match.

Behind this, China has more outstanding industrialization advantages than other countries, and we have created unique core capabilities in power battery systems, new chassis architectures, intelligent driving systems, etc., as well as a complete industrial chain system.

This not only allowed Chinese cars to rush into Russia, which has a market gap due to European sanctions, but also allowed China to rush into Southeast Asia, the traditional market for Japanese cars, and even Europe, where traditional cars are concentrated.

From the UK to Belgium, from Saudi Arabia to Australia, Chinese electric vehicles are becoming the new darlings of the market. This is definitely not something that can be prevented by simply imposing tariffs or countervailing investigations.

Chinese automobiles are becoming synonymous with "high-tech" and creating a new industry pattern.

Of course, looking to the future, although China's total automobile exports have become the world's first, our automobile industry is still facing considerable challenges. In terms of technology, we need to solve the "stuck neck" problem of chips, core components, new materials, etc.;

In terms of soft power, Chinese cars are still considered "low-quality and plagiarized" overseas. This requires us to make more efforts in technological innovation, brand management, high-quality and sustainable development in the future, so that China can continue to grow and become stronger.
