A biogas generator set is a device that uses biogas as fuel to generate electricity. Biogas is a mixture of organic wastes (such as agricultural wastes, sewage treatment plant wastewater, etc.) produced by microbial decomposition in an oxygen-free environment, and the main components are methane (60-70%), carbon dioxide (30-40%) and a small amount of nitrogen, hydrogen sulfide and other components.

The application principle of biogas generator set is as follows:

1.Biogas collection: The organic waste that produces biogas is collected into a closed biogas digester and produced by microbial decomposition in an oxygen-free environment.

2.Biogas treatment: pretreatment of biogas, including removal of impurities, adjustment of gas component ratio, etc. Dehumidification, desulfurization and impurity removal technologies are usually used to purify biogas to ensure that the gas composition of biogas meets the requirements of the generator set.

3.Biogas enters the engine: The treated biogas is transported to the gas supply system of the generator set through the pipeline for engine combustion.

4.Engine combustion: Biogas enters the inside of the engine, mixes with air and burns. The combustion process produces a high-temperature and high-pressure gas that drives the generator rotor to rotate.

5.Power generation: The rotation of the generator rotor generates electrical energy, and outputs electrical energy through the output device, which is used for the corresponding electric load.

Biogas generator sets are widely used in the following fields:

1.Rural energy utilization: Conventional agricultural waste, livestock and poultry manure in rural areas can be used as raw materials for biogas power generation, which can meet rural power demand and improve energy efficiency.

2.Ecological and environmental protection projects: The waste gas generated in ecological and environmental protection projects such as sewage treatment plants and landfills can be recycled through biogas power generation, reducing the emission of harmful gases and realizing the dual benefits of environmental governance and energy.

3.Industrial energy utilization: The industrial waste gas emitted by some industrial enterprises contains reusable organic matter, which can be converted into electricity resources through biogas power generation and reduce the consumption of traditional energy.

By generating electricity from biogas, it is possible not only to obtain electricity, but also to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and to promote the use of sustainable energy and environmental protection.
