Since 2002, China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation has implemented counterpart assistance to Taibai County, and selected "stubble after stubble" deputy county magistrate and first secretary in the village. They went from the scientific research laboratory to the vast fields, stationed in the depths of the Qinling Mountains, and worked with the people in the Taibai Mountains to dig the "password" for the prosperity and revitalization of the countryside.

Develop "cool resources" and activate new business formats
Baiyun Village, Tsuitou Town, Taibai County, hidden in the depths of the Qinling Mountains, recently sent away a lively National Day holiday. "The 11 characteristic homestays in our village are all full, mainly young and middle-aged tourists, and the homestay income is more than 40,000 yuan in 8 days of vacation. Qi Yongli, secretary of the party branch of Baiyun Village, said that the farmhouse in the village also received a lot of tourists, and although everyone was busy, their faces were full of smiles.

Baiyun Village has jurisdiction over 8 villager groups, with a total of 332 households and 1,027 people, and the per capita cultivated land is about 17 acres. The village is named after the Baiyun Station on the ancient Bao Slope Road, and the average temperature in summer is about 19 degrees Celsius. How to develop the unique "cool resources" and transform the lucid waters and lush mountains into gold and silver mountains used to be a difficult problem in front of the people of Baiyun Village.
Qi Yongli proposed the development of farmhouses in 2016, but the villagers were not optimistic about it at the time. In order to explore the way, she borrowed 350,000 yuan in her personal name to open the first farmhouse in the village. However, the development of rural tourism cannot be achieved alone.
Seeing the advantages and potential of the development of rural tourism in Taibai County, since 2018, the designated assistance working group of Taibai County of the Aerospace Science and Technology Group has adopted the method of nailing, coordinated and leveraged various funds of more than 10 million yuan, continued to help Baiyun Village develop the rural tourism industry, supported the village to open farmhouses, and renovated characteristic homestays, which has made earth-shaking changes in the appearance of the village.
Flower viewing tour is the 'signboard' of rural tourism in Baiyun Village, and it has also led to the development of farmhouses and country houses. Qi Yongli said that in 2018, the help team introduced a large lily planting project to Baiyun Village, and every June, the lily sea blooms as scheduled, and the village ushers in the tourist season. In 2022, more than 5,000 seedlings such as peach blossom, American red maple, Admiralty forsythia, and Yueji will be introduced, extending the peak season of rural tourism in Baiyun Village from midsummer to spring, summer, and autumn, driving the continuous growth of the village's farmhouse catering, accommodation, and agricultural product sales revenue.
In recent years, the Aerospace Science and Technology Group has continued to focus on investing in the field of rural tourism, and in 2022 alone, it has invested 2.3 million yuan to implement the living environment improvement project of Maershan Village, Taibai County, the rural tourism improvement project of Baiyun Village and the Baojiaowan Village B&B project in Huangbaiyuan Town, which has improved the overall local tourism environment and solved the problems of insufficient tourism resources.
"Cool resources" has become a new format. The concept of development has been changed, and the development path has been identified, and the clouds in the sky and the wind in the mountains can be transformed into tangible development benefits.
Sow "aerospace seeds" and set up a "sales network".
Aerospace breeding technology is a cutting-edge technology for applying aerospace technology to agricultural production, and this technology has also opened up a new industrial field for the country's poverty alleviation and development work. In Taibai County, the Aerospace Science and Technology Group has adapted measures to local conditions and used the advantages of aerospace breeding technology to support the characteristic planting industry, so that the "aerospace seeds" have borne "happy fruits".
From the end of May to the beginning of November 2023, it is the raspberry harvest season in Maershan Village, Parrot Town, Taibai County. Freshly picked raspberries are carefully packaged and sent to cold storage, where they are sent to wholesale markets or large supermarkets through cold chain logistics. According to Dang Sanlao, the legal representative of the Raspberry Agricultural and Sideline Products Distribution Cooperative in Maershan, Taibai County, the raspberry industrial park in the village has been upgraded and transformed in the past two years, and the harvest period has been extended and the benefits have been greatly increased. It is estimated that the yield per mu will exceed 1 ton in 2023, which can drive more than 3,000 people from surrounding farmers to work.
The climate of Maershan Village is humid and sunny, which is suitable for growing raspberries. Dang Sanlao said that the raspberry cultivation industry in Maershan Village began in 2016. In that year, with the support of the Aerospace Science and Technology Group, the aerospace raspberry was successfully demonstrated in Maershan Village for the first time, and now it has become a characteristic planting project in the village.
With its unique alpine climate and ecological advantages, Taibai County has become a fertile soil for the development of modern agricultural industry, with 86% of the county's arable land growing vegetables, 85% of the masses engaged in vegetable production, and 73% of farmers' income coming from vegetables.
In order to broaden the sales channels of vegetables, the members of the help working group not only contacted the help unit to "buy instead of help" to purchase vegetables in Taibai County, but also "touched the net" to help Taibai County's agricultural products catch the "e-commerce express".
A number of temporary deputy county magistrates of the Aerospace Science and Technology Group stationed in Taibai County have walked into the live broadcast room of the "Central Enterprises Consumption Assistance and Agricultural Week" organized by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission to promote poverty alleviation agricultural products such as Taibai Mountain Alpine Fruit and Vegetable Crisp, Qinling Taibai Mountain Soil Honey, Morel Mushrooms, and Baoji Dough Rolling Dough to consumers. Supporting wisdom and ambition to practice the responsibility of state-owned enterprises

With the continuous improvement of his own quality, Zhang Baojun contracted 58 acres of land and 118 acres of mountains and forests, and founded Zhang Baojun vegetable planting base. Zhang Baojun said that the factory will provide a large number of jobs for the villagers, provide them with stable jobs and income, and solve the practical difficulties of these families.
