After winning the Sino Indian border war, why did China take the initiative to withdraw from souther

In the current international situation, India has become more and more emboldened, not only building a large number of military installations and expanding the number of troops stationed on the Sino-Indian border, but also attempting to engage in hand-to-hand combat with the Chinese People's Liberation Army. What's more, India** has publicly released a new map that includes the two disputed areas of southern Tibet and Aksai Chin.

In this regard, the Indian side not only refused to recognize the new map, but also exposed its sinister intention to invade and occupy our territory. Obviously, they are hostile to our country. The total area of disputed territory between China and India is as high as 12550,000 square kilometres, however, our country currently has only actual control over less than 40,000 square kilometres of the Aksai Chin region. Does India want our country to take the initiative to abandon this strategic location?

Aksai Chin is like a "sword" that has choked India's throat. Here, our country can not only deploy medium- and long-range missiles, but also further control the disputed area of Ladakh. India is under a lot of pressure to do this, and it has frequently caused incidents and even fought with our country. However, we will not tolerate India's attempt to take away southern Tibet from our hands and then try to take away this strategic location.

Indians seem to have forgotten the 1962 Sino-Indian self-defense counterattack. When the PLA won a complete victory, they preferred to relinquish control of southern Tibet and resolutely hold on to Aksai Chin rather than back down. So, let's take a look at what is the strategic value of this piece of Aksai Chin, which is vital to India? How sure is India now that it will be able to retake this place from the PLA?

From a geopolitical point of view, Aksai Chin is a natural frontier bulwark against India. It is bordered by the Karakoram Mountains to the west, India and Pakistan to the east, and is only about 400 kilometers from New Delhi, the capital of India. This special geographical location makes Aksai Chin a natural fit for China's northwestern defense line, as it is located at an altitude of about 4,000 meters above sea level, just hundreds of kilometers away from the Indian capital New Delhi.

If we had sent a random fighter plane and swooped down, it would have been possible to reach the political heart of India in less than half an hour. It's no wonder that India always tries to snatch this territory back. In addition, Aksai Chin is located right between Xinjiang and ** in China, and is an important passage connecting the Xinjiang region. This means that it can act as a natural defensive barrier in China's border areas, preventing any foreign forces from entering the Chinese mainland from the border.

Of course, the other disputed territory between China and India, southern Tibet, also has such a natural barrier effect. But the difference is that Aksai Chin is located along the Xin-Tibet Highway, and if we lose this area, it actually means that the Indian army has indirectly cut off the Xin-Tibet Highway. Perhaps on a normal day, this issue may not seem to have much impact on our country.

But if a border conflict breaks out again between China and India, the Sichuan-Tibet line, which we have worked so hard to build, could become the first target of the Indian Air Force to carry out precision strikes. This will lead to the obstruction of the delivery of war logistics to the front line, and at the same time, the PLA troops will face great challenges in entering southern Tibet. In this way, the Indian army may easily seize the initiative in the early stage of the battlefield.

We cannot underestimate the strength of the Indian army, which for many years has been secretly building posts and border posts in the Sino-Indian border area. Hundreds of soldiers are stationed at these posts, some of which are even located just 200 meters away from the PLA, and some are located near the edge of the China's Xin-Tibet Highway, indicating that India has been eyeing China's southern Tibetan region.

They even openly crossed the Sino-Indian border to attack our border guards, which shows that India is not only satisfied with controlling southern Tibet, but also trying to fight for the Aksai Chin region, which is more strategically valuable than southern Tibet. As an inherent territory of our country, Aksai Chin was included in the jurisdiction of the Western Regions Protectorate as early as the Han Dynasty. Therefore, India does not have any say in the sovereignty of the Aksai Chin region, and there is no dispute.

India seems to have been denying a litany of historical facts, and in the last century, just after independence, India began to claim the Aksai Chin region as its own territory and tried to send troops into the region. However, almost every time it was blocked by Chinese border guards. However, India has stepped up its military maneuvers in the region, trying to occupy this Chinese territory by force, only to trigger a fierce border war between China and India.

In 1962, the Chinese People's Liberation Army annihilated a large number of Indian troops in just over a month, and even hit less than 300 kilometers outside the Indian capital in one fell swoop. It can be said that China's actions at that time caused great panic among the Indian leadership, who believed that their country was in danger of extinction. In the end, however, China chose to withdraw its troops on its own initiative.

Despite this, the squadron still controlled the Aksai Chin region, which India was eager to capture, leaving no chance for India. Because this area is the only land passage between China and Pakistan, it has important strategic value in China-Pakistan relations. As long as Aksai Chin is in Chinese hands, China can support Pakistan and deploy a variety of medium- and long-range missiles there.

Especially in the event of a conflict between India and Pakistan, India must take into account China's attitude, even if they want to act recklessly on Pakistani territory. In summary, the strategic importance of Aksai Chin is of paramount importance to China. Once this territory falls into the hands of the enemy, it will affect China's overall strategy and bring unforeseen heavy losses to China.

No matter how the current situation on the Sino-Indian border changes, China must resolutely defend the Aksai Chin region and safeguard the country's territorial integrity and sovereignty. On these core issues, my country will never compromise. We currently have the corresponding military strength, which gives us confidence and confidence. Therefore, I hope that the Indian side will be able to eliminate some unnecessary attempts as soon as possible.

They should not repeatedly covet our territory, because history has proven that if a border war really breaks out, they will be the losing side in the end. India should learn to respect historical facts as soon as possible, so that Sino-Indian relations can get back on track. Let's leave your views in the comment section and welcome to discuss.
