On the morning of December 30, the award ceremony of the 3rd "Xiaobaogong Cup" Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao University Students' Legal Empirical Analysis Essay Contest and the Youth Forum on the Practice and Development of China's Rule of Law were held at the Law School of South China Normal University. This year's competition lasted for 3 months and ended successfully a few days ago.

This year's competition is based on the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and facing the whole country, and the scale of participation has been greatly increased. More than 3,700 doctoral students, graduate students and undergraduates from 243 universities in 28 provinces, municipalities and special administrative regions across the country, including the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Macao Special Administrative Region, participated in the registration. After the preliminary evaluation and ranking, the final evaluation committee reviewed, discussed and voted, and selected 89 undergraduate students and 33 graduate students.

Jin Yan, full-time vice president and secretary general of the Guangdong Provincial Law Society, introduced that the purpose of holding this competition is to explore the wisdom of adjudication, trial focus and judicial experience in a large number of judicial cases through the use of modern legal empirical analysis tools, and to cultivate students' ability to observe, research and analyze social issues by comprehensively using legal knowledge. With rich perspectives and diverse concepts, we will strengthen interactivity, promote the exchange and cooperation of youth rule of law in the Bay Area to a new level, and help the majority of young rule of law talents display their talents and realize their dreams. Zhang Yongzhong, vice president of the Guangdong Provincial Law Society and dean of the Law School of South China Normal University, said that seeing young law students from all over the country felt that the future of the rule of law construction was full of hope.

After the award ceremony, the "Youth Forum on the Practice and Development of China's Rule of Law" was held. The five award-winning students respectively made their views on the empirical research results such as the infringement liability of intermediaries in misrepresentation cases, the judicial review of blockchain evidence storage, and the absolutization of data rights and interests. Experts and scholars from colleges and universities made wonderful comments on the five speaking students.

Wang Yanling, director of the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence Law Application, professor of the Law School of South China Normal University, and founder of Xiaobaogong Legal AI, pointed out that she hopes to provide a platform for learning, exchange and integrated development for the growth of young students in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, so as to encourage them to pay more attention to the cause of rule of law in China. To cultivate outstanding legal talents with innovative spirit and practical ability, and contribute to the construction of the rule of law in China and the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
