The birth and development of New China was forged under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and with the dedication and sacrifice of countless heroes and martyrs. Under the wise guidance of ***, our motherland has gone through hardships, but in the end it has ushered in glory. This history is not only the pride of the Chinese people, but also the precious wealth of the Chinese nation. The sacrifice of every martyr is to defend our country and our people and to build a just and prosperous society. 
However, in the long course of history, there are always some people who have forgotten their original intentions and responsibilities. For example, Chen Tonghai, the former chairman of Sinopec, was born into a red family and was deeply influenced by revolutionary culture. His father, Chen Weida, was a veteran revolutionary who served as the first secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and made great contributions to China's revolutionary cause. But unfortunately, Chen Tonghai deviated from the right path, indulged in personal greed and corruption, forgot his responsibilities and obligations as a member of the Communist Party, and finally went astray in life. The birth of the People's Republic of China marked the beginning of Comrade Chen Weida's favor with the party organization, and he successively held important posts such as first secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and first political commissar of the garrison area. 
For Chen Weida, the birth of his son Chen Tonghai is like a late spring rain. Chen Weida was 32 years old at the time, however, he attached great importance to Chen Tonghai's education. He knew very well that even if he had made outstanding contributions to the revolution, Chen Tonghai could not be indulged in pleasure because of this. Therefore, Chen Tonghai received a strict education under the care of his father. Chen Tonghai did not live up to his father's expectations. He went to Northeast Petroleum University for further study, and joined the big family of the Communist Party of China with outstanding academic performance. After graduation, he devoted himself to the work of Daqing Oilfield and devoted himself to serving the motherland. Chen Tonghai is well aware that he is shouldering a sacred mission and is determined to live up to the expectations of the party and his father. 
Due to his outstanding performance, Chen Tonghai quickly rose to prominence and was repeatedly promoted. He successively served as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of Zhenhai Petrochemical General Plant of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation, Executive Vice Mayor of Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, Acting Mayor of Ningbo City, Mayor of Ningbo City, Deputy Director of the State Planning Commission, Deputy General Manager of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation, and finally became the Chairman of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation. His rise through the ranks has demonstrated his outstanding talent in his career. Chen Tonghai gradually lost himself in the whirlpool of power, and the rise in status made him intoxicated with the superiority that power brings. At the same time, the ** of the outside world made his heart shake, and he gradually forgot his father's expectations, the cultivation and trust of the party organization, and finally embarked on the road of self-destruction. Investigators found that Chen Tonghai's ** amount was huge, and the amount of a single ** was as high as 1600 million, a shocking record. 
In addition to the huge amount of money, Chen Tonghai is also addicted to the desire for beautiful women, which is difficult to resist for many. After the wealth, Chen Tonghai fell into an obsession with beauty, and one of them named Li Wei became an important part of his life. Chen Tonghai and Li Wei's acquaintance was purely accidental, and the two quickly colluded with each other. Obviously, Chen Tonghai is for beauty, while Li Wei covets the power in his hands. One of them, Li Wei's influence on Chen Tonghai has intensified.
