A few days ago, the United States signed the "National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024" into law. The negative provisions of the bill on China-related issues wantonly manipulate Taiwan-related issues, advocate strategic competition with China, exaggerate the "China threat", promote "de-risking" in key areas of China, grossly involve China's internal affairs, seriously damage China's sovereignty, security and development interests, and seriously violate the consensus reached at the San Francisco meeting between the heads of state of China and the United States. We strongly deplore and resolutely oppose this.
The Constitution of the People's Republic of China stipulates that "Taiwan is part of the sacred territory of the People's Republic of China. Accomplishing the great cause of reunifying the motherland is the sacred duty of the entire Chinese people, including the Taiwan compatriots. "Any attempt to remove Taiwan from China is contrary to China's national righteousness, and the Chinese people will never agree to it." The Taiwan issue is the core of China's core interests, the foundation of the political foundation of China-US relations, and the first red line that cannot be crossed. In the three Sino-US joint communiques, the US side made solemn commitments on the Taiwan issue. China will eventually be reunified, and it will be reunified. Any provocative act of playing with fire to "use Taiwan to contain China" is doomed to failure.
China has always adhered to the path of peaceful development, insisted on putting national and national development on the basis of its own strength, and the right of the Chinese people to pursue a better life is sacred and inviolable.
