How to choose a solar heating and insulation water tank

In my sharing with you yesterday, I mentioned the difference between solar heating and air energy heating tanks. There are many details that deserve our attention when it comes to the choice of water tank for solar heating. In the solar heating system, the water tank mainly plays a role in heat preservation. Many manufacturers of water tanks use the insulation thickness as the standard for constant water tanks.

We said earlier that there are more than fourteen hours in a day that require the heat stored in the tank to maintain heating. This undoubtedly puts forward extremely high requirements for the thermal insulation performance of the water tank. Generally speaking, the insulation thickness of the water tank of the hot water project is five centimeters, and the temperature difference is required to be within 10 degrees within 24 hours. However, such a thickness standard is clearly not enough to apply to solar heating. Therefore, the general thickness of solar heating tank is designed to be eight centimeters or ten centimeters.

But sometimes we find that sometimes the insulation effect of an eight-centimeter-thick tank is even more than that of a ten-centimeter-thick tank. Why is that?In fact, when people pay attention to the thickness of insulation, they often ignore another key factor - the density of the insulation layer. Even if the thickness is up to standard, insufficient density will affect the insulation effect. Generally speaking, the density of the insulation layer can reach 50 kilograms per cubic meter, and its insulation effect is quite good.

In addition to thermal insulation, it is also necessary to pay attention to the material of the board when choosing the water tank. 304 stainless steel is generally recommended for the inside of the water tank, which is corrosion-resistant and has a long service life. In order to reduce costs, some manufacturers will choose to use 301 stainless steel or even 201 stainless steel. Although it is relatively cheap, rust and water leakage may occur after a few years of use. At this time, it is quite troublesome to replace the water tank, especially for the house that has been renovated, not only to destroy the original decoration, but also to move the water tank out. Therefore, when choosing a water tank, you must not be greedy for cheap and ignore the importance of its quality.
