A crematorium worker in Brazil shocked workers by finding a 90-year-old woman alive in a body bag after she was pronounced dead.

The whole incident took place on Saturday in the municipality of São José, just hours after hospital staff announced the death of Norma Silvera da Silva, according to Brazilian news Estad O.

The 90-year-old was then put into a body bag and sent to the morgue for preservation.

As soon as the crematorium found out that the woman was still alive, she was taken back to the hospital and readmitted to the hospital in what was said to be very bad.

Jessica Sylvie Pereira, the woman's caregiver, told the newspaper Estadán that the woman was in very poor health when she was admitted to the hospital on Friday and that by Saturday night she and the woman's son had been notified that she had died.

Pereira said her friend's body was quickly sent to the morgue without even letting her loved ones see and say goodbye.

According to the death certificate issued by the hospital, Da Silva died"Urinary tract infections"。

Allegedly, when the crematorium staff came into contact with the body, he told Pereira that he was surprised because her body still felt hot and that it should have been colder depending on the time of death. He also said that when he lifted the woman, her arm should not have fallen, which he said showed that her body was not yet stiff.

Pereira said her friend spent nearly two hours in the sealed bag"Almost suffocated"。

It is unclear whether da Silva ultimately died of not receiving it in time or other underlying illness, the report said.

Early Monday morning, she was pronounced dead, and according to her second death certificate, the cause of death was listed"Septic shock"。

The Santa Catarina Regional Medical Council said the Commission"This situation is aware and appropriate procedures will be put in place to monitor the case", which is currently under investigation.

Pereira said the patient's family is planning to sue the hospital over the matter. "It's an oversight that I don't want to happen to anyone. "
