On December 24, China's large-scale deep-water geophysical exploration ship "Offshore Oil 720" carried China's first set of high-precision marine exploration towing cable equipment "Haijing" system, set sail from Zhanjiang Port to Indonesia, providing first-class exploration technical services in the world for the first time, providing "Chinese solutions" to solve overseas geological exploration problems, and is of great significance for "Chinese technology" to promote global offshore oil and gas development and promote the cooperation of "The Belt and Road".

The "Haijing" system is the first set of first-class exploration acquisition equipment independently developed and manufactured by China, which is composed of a variety of equipment such as source control, towing cable acquisition, integrated navigation and positioning and control system, which breaks through the sinking depth limit of 22 meters of operating water depth of imported equipment and greatly improves the resolution of advanced data.

Since it was put into operation in September 2022, the "Offshore Oil 720" equipped with the "Haijing" system has successfully completed a total of 6,552 square kilometers of three-dimensional exploration in five work areas in Chinese waters. This overseas exploration technology service project is the first overseas operation after the "Haijing" system has just completed the 3,000-meter ultra-deepwater exploration operation in the Pearl River Estuary Basin, which has opened a new situation in the development of deepwater oil and gas exploration equipment technology in China and taken the first step for self-developed exploration equipment to penetrate the international market.
